Same here.
I hate spending time perfecting a run and then finding out that there was a quicker way.

I bet me and allen_y have same route, since we're nearly a second clear with the same time. ..

I think I'm doing a similar route - my demo isn't all that great.

Yeah, probably, because a different route will barely get 103.

After making the level feel uncomfortable by staring at it for a good 10 minutes, it finally decided to let me in on the secret to that faster route...
It also got me a restraining order but it was so worth it to see its panties :p

Hi I have a suggestion for pairing next time

Group Stages Qualifiers
1. ChrisE
2. Bhz
3. Bobaganuesh_2
4. Inspired
5. Unreality
6. Jawbit
7. Eternal_Moonlight
8. Sockmonkey

I think the pairing should be

1. Chrise vs 8. Sockmonkey
2. Bhz vs 7. Eternal_Moonlight
3. Bobaganuesh_2 vs 6. Jawbit
4. Inspired vs 5. Unreality

otherwise there is no benefit of getting higher rank in the first 3 round.

But currently it is

Amateur Speed

2. Bhz vs. 5. Unreality
3. Bobaganuesh_2 vs. 4. Inspired
1. ChrisE vs. 7. Eternal_Moonlight
6. Jawbit vs. 8. Sockmonkey

3vs4, while 6vs8..... not a really good pairing...

oh inspired.

What i mean is

1 vs 8
2 vs 7
3 vs 6
4 vs 5

This pairing maybe better than the current pairing, cause:

1. There will be a stronger reason to get higher position in the first 3 rounds of the first stage
2. There will be less chance for the best players being knocked off in the 1st map. As you see the current pairing is "3rd vs 4th" here. If there is no standard pairing rules.. then there could be "1 vs 2"...

Inspired, this round goes for two weeks and two rounds, whereupon the better total score will move on to the semifinals. So the judging turnaround for this round will be done at the end of next week.
[16:24] <@golfkid> I'm pretty sure I will literally scream if I die on the last column of 78-4 at this point
[16:25] <trance> Oh, yeah. That level.
[16:29] <@golfkid> lol
[16:30] <@golfkid> It looks so simple
[16:30] <@golfkid> But it says "NO! I will rape your sanity!"

It's strange that I don't feel like getting the 0th on a map I have to play to get the 0th. :/

Don't start the next map until the forums work again. I only found out about this new link from the IRC, and not everyone goes there.

Much as I dislike having to wait for a whole month to proceed with the next round, it would be unfair if people missed out on it because they didn't have access to the forums, so it looks like I'll have to postpone the next leg 'til a month's time (or however long it takes to get the forums back).
The deadline will stay the same, though:

Map: Sinker by Seneschal (featuring Kool-aid)
ID: 184811

Server Time: Sunday, November 8th, 23:59
US/Central (GMT -5) : Sunday, November 8th, 10:59
Greenwich Mean Time (GMT +0) : Sunday, November 8th, 15:59
Melbourne Time (GMT +11) : Monday, November 9th, 02:59

Any demos submitted after these times will earn the 0 points for the round, regardless of time. If you had a demo previously submitted, that will be counted instead.

EDIT: The first leg of the quarter final has finished.

Thanks again!
Also, as a quick update, I'm still waiting on four people to confirm that they have found the temp. forums, namely Etz, xela, glib_jase and Seifer.
When I know for sure that these people are able to compete, the competition can continue.

Oh. So that's the path you guys used. I should have known to never take the direct route. =/

Also, if the remaining people confirm, will the next round take place over Thanksgiving break?
