I guess it's so addicting cause of the loads of lifts the game gives to you. Every fail seems to have a motivating aspect that says "keep on trying!" and thats why you go on, play on.

I have a better question: why is 'addicting' such an annoying word?

I totally agree.Wachtwoord wrote:It's odd how most say community keeps them around - I think we've all gone through phases; Some are still discovering N for the first time, some are still discovering Ned or NUMA for the first time, some are getting into Map-Packs and collabs, some are discovering the IRC, some discovering Vent. Us ancient fellas, however, seem to have drifted *away* from the community, and now just keep in touch as people. It's an incredibly strange cycle, but one that I think every community ends up going through.
Also, I've tried to go to Vent, and I want to start going there, but I end up not going back to it because it's always a little hard for me to understand you guys. Some of you speak very fast, and use words that I don't commonly hear :(

N was addicting in high school when I was bored and had nothing better to do. Plus its really fun to make levels and know that people enjoy playing them.
