We're actually working on something as we speak. Not sure how feasible it's gonna be or how well the community will like things, but KA, Dave, LV and I are in talks. We'll let you guys know when we know something.

If you click in a link in an old post it goes back to forum.therealn.com instead of redirecting to the relevant thread on forum.easterviking.com, and http://forum.therealn.com/ is now a totally different site filled with completely random stuff (see for yourself).

That shit is depressing, dude.

Here I am, posting at forum.droni.es. :)
There are still some traces of TheRealN left (e.g. m9orange skin header), though. When are we leaving easterviking.com?

I've got about a million links on numa to the old site, I hope the fix.. it's going to be such a pain to do it manually.

Woo, I'm on forum.droni.es as well. Way to go, guys. Question: Will the URLs ever be more condensed, like they were on TheRealN? Not that big an issue, just a curiosity.

It won't, paste it to Notepad or whatever, and make it replace every "therealn.com" with "droni.es".
Also (I know I said it before somewhere), you need to point at droni.es on the old forum, if it's possible.

TheRealN and NinjaRobotYeti use different URLs to specify forums, subforums, and topics. A simple Find-Replace won't work with links from TheRealN. They might if the original links were from easterviking, though, as those URLs appear similar to these.

Is that true? I don't know if I agree with you. Didn't TRN use the same format as easterviking? ninjarobotyeti certainly looks like it uses the same format as easterviking.

As far as I can tell, the easterviking and NRY URLs are a /lot/ longer than TRN ones, and with lots of random letters and things. TRN was more like the old forums, with numbers specifying forums, subforums, topics, and posts.

The easterviking and nry ones stick on session IDs onto the end, but if you look at everything before &sid= (or whatever it is) it should be exactly the same. Including or excluding the session ID shouldn't make a difference to anyone if you're linking the url to somebody else. It has something to do with the lack of cookies on nry (if you remember, easterviking used to have those long urls but lost the session IDs after cookies were restored).

Ah, cool. So will we be getting cookies here? I like cookies.
