Unreality and I have been working on changing the way you view the Metanet highscore boards. I am sure you all have grown tired of having to ignore all of hackers and cheaters. And I suspect that the only reason that we don’t all turn on legit mode is because there are still so many great runs on the Metanet boards. Well the solution we have come up with is to port these runs over to the Nreality server and then change the way you see the Metanet boards.

I currently have a list of all of the 0ths that are not on Nreality. (Ignoring hackers of course) I have gathered the demo data for each run along with the score and player; Unreality has also given me a way in which to upload these scores to the Nreality server. I plan to upload these 0ths to the Nreality server however getting the demo data for each run and then uploading it is a very time consuming and tedious process. This means that I will not be able to do all of the non-Nreality top-20s, unless a few people are willing to help me.

So, what I have proposed to Unreality is that we make the 00-99 episodes just like the 100+ are on non-legit mode. So the idea is that when you are looking at 00-99 in Nreality (and this could be in either a new mode, like legit mode 1 and 2, or just the only option) the boards would be exactly like the Metanet boards (if we could get all of the top-20s) except without the hackers and cheaters. Also there would be a . if the run was uploaded rather than done on Nreality. And if you turned legit mode on these runs would not be there.

However if we were not able to get all of the top-20s, and only these 0ths get imported would you guys (the community) be willing to sacrifice all of the non-Nreality top-20s to not have to look at the boards with hackers and cheaters anymore?

The next question I have to ask the community is that which player’s runs do you think should get uploaded. Keep in mind that these runs will not be considered legit runs, however they will be in the 0th spot whenever viewing the boards not in legit mode. All of these runs will have a . next to the player’s name.
The last question I have is, for the runs that you guys do not want on the new boards, ie. kryX-orange I think we can all agree that his highscores should not be on the boards. However some of his runs contain innovations and they are just cool to watch. I am wondering if you guys would mind if I placed these runs on the underclock boards? I would also being willing to do this for mohamedraif’s manually built demos, if he and you guys are ok with that?

Here are all of the 0ths that are not on the Nreality servers I have them in two lists: commonly accepted cheaters, and everyone else. Please cast your vote if you disagree with adding a particular player so it can at least be discussed.

Sorry for the double post, but this is me posting my opinions on the matter. I think that all of the players listed in the second list should not be put in to the highscore mode, but should be ported in to underclock.

I am pretty sure that cheese_god's and zxcvzxcv's runs are cheated. Also Sp33dY and Ben_schultz_11 have admitted to cheating before and some of their runs look cheated.

Everyone one else I am pretty sure is legit. That said I think that all of the 0ths except cheese_god's and zxcvzxcv's should be uploaded because they are going to be .0ths anyway.

Just to remind everyone I am not trying to restart and old flame war from the old days, just trying to get some honest discussion about it.

I think some runs by Ben_Schultz_11 and Sp33dy are cheated. Probably all of cheese_god's 0ths are cheated and possibly all of TGM's as well. I am not sure about schwah or zxcvzxcv though.

You can do that but I think all of those runs should be dotted.

jf is legit imo, but lord_day once said that he admitted to cheating (he was testing out cheatengine I think) on a few levels. I agree with moh, except for TGM, I haven't seen anything that gives him away as a cheater. Gforce, Hendor, and Pheidi go in. I still think that they might have their runs in their .sols, but I'll ask on IRC.

Sp33dy cheated on ep 22 (he admitted on old forums as moh told me), and since there is no way how to determine if he cheated on other levels (72-2 chimneys are really suspicious) i vote for him to be on underclock

This is possible if you just hit submit EP 77, your 77-0 0th will be put as a dot run for now until the highscore move is complete then it will be a dot0th.

I plan to put Sp33dY on the underclock boards. cheese_god I am pretty sure cheated both 82-0 and 90-3, so I am ignoring him. I plan to submit schwah and Chouse, unless someone has something to say more about either. I am sure Chouse is legit, but schwah's 27-0 could be cheated, but we have no proof. I am just waiting for Pheidippides to submit his 77-0. I am ignoring zxcvzxcv's 85-2 because there is a hacker with a similar name and he only has two top 20s and that run is too good for someone with only two top 20s. This leaves TGM who I am inclined to submit just because we have no proof, but I am open to more discussion about him.

OK - firstly guys - the only Metanet run I cheated isn't even a 0th anymore (29-3 for reference)

Since then I have submitted legit Metanet 0ths on NReality 12-0, 42-0 (still standing) and 6-4 (also still standing) and none on the Metanet servers alone since the arrival of NReality if that even counts for anything -.-

I don't know why 6-4 was even flagged as I assure you it is a legitimate run.

haha - that's cool - my point here is - up until yesterday - you guys put old runs (including 6-4 down; a dronie nominated run from last year btw) as questionable. Then i submitted it and it's all good - what more do I have to do to convince you guys? Unfortunately the 34-3 run was made before the existence of NReality. Obviously, the onus is on me to demonstrate my runs are legit and I have done that multiple times since the introduction of NReality. As for perfect chimneying - what's the big deal? Spect's done it, plenty of people have pulled it off - stop trying to pick holes and play the game.
