As I Lay Dying, Underoath, Falling Up, Blur, Nirvana, Megadeth, Offspring, the old Green Day, and Rage Against the Machine to name a few.

I love Blur's "Song 2" so I'm deciding to try out their other stuff.

Before people start listening to Dalek, do not ever listen to Black Smoke Rises, which is the District 9 of shitty songs.

I probably subconsciously absorbed that and it influenced my random decision to try it out. I've been told how great Dälek is a lot by a lot of people. And hey, they were right.

They've retroactively put the latter under the Animal Collective moniker.

Edit > Grails in general are incredible. Pick up any of their albums if you get a chance.

Raccoo-oo-oon - Raccoo-oo-oon
This is basically an expansive psychedelic noise jam, and it's really great. The first couple of tracks sound like they're an amalgam of Les Rallizes Dénudés, Boris, and Lightning Bolt, i.e. absolutely perfect.

Image

Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago
It irritates how much I'm entranced by this album. It is by-and-large a conventional folk recording, but I can't surpass what I think is some of the most beautiful pop writing I've ever heard. The first four tracks are so annoyingly fantastic.

Image

Rachel's - Music For Egon Schiele
Honestly some of the most beautiful compositions I've ever heard. It works perfectly as a whole.
