Apt: Round 4 Maps are due February 4th, 2010.
This Weeks Theme: Journey To The Top OR Journey To The Bottom

3 people wile die.

I commend those of you who have made it to the half way mark of the competition(I think?)! I think this'll be an interesting theme to map with. Anyways, good luck with round 4, and I'll try to judge stuff on time this round. Good luck!

Inspired wrote:I am really disappointed, I didn't have sufficient time to make the map before I left on holiday thinking that the map was due within a week of the round starting. However, people continued submitting maps far after the deadline. Also the statement "3 people will die" doesn't ring true when truthfully 3+ people are eliminated each round (5 this time round). Sorry, I don't mean to be a poor loser and will shut up now. Just voicing my opinion.
The maps were due within a week of the round starting, however I have said (and it is one of the rules I think) that you can submit a map after the deadline even after the day the maps are due as long as I haven't done the judging yet. I have allowed people (well, you asked if you could in the first round, and I did say yes but you didn't have the time to) to change their map after they've subbed one too, but that hasn't been made clear in the rules, so I apologize.

As for the "3 people will die" thing, how about this. Maybe I'll make it "3 people will be killed" signifying 3 people will be eliminate-

Nehh, okay, to make things as simple as possible, when I say 3 people will die, I mean 3 people will be eliminated (via their maps actually being judged). Anyone that hasn't submitted a map (the other three of the six people in this round who are no longer participating) before the judging is posted are counted as disqualifications. You could call it, me actually killing 3 people, while anyone else who doesn't submit a map is actually just commiting suicide.

And besides, when someone commits suicide, it's never actually meant to benefit anyone, especially in a competition (if you understand what I'm saying here. ;) ) I mean like, if three people don't submit a map, I don't feel their lack of effort should give others a free pass to the next round, y'know?
