Moving sol directory

OK, so I've come back from not playing N for a while and this new community definitely surprises me. But my question is, can I change the target that N saves its data to? Or will I simply have to extract the data out of the app data every time? (I'm trying to run N entirely off a flash drive)

That would be the second one. Unless there's some third-party workaround out there somewhere, but I don't think there is.
