I used to have my hand under the pillow, but I stopped because it always cut off circulation. I'd sometimes wake up in the middle of the night without the ability to move one of my arms at all.

Hands and legs wrapped around the bolster but not too tightly. Lying by my side on the bed. Sometimes the hands go under the pillow while hugging the bolster.

I sleep violently and clingy. If someone is in the bed with me, I will alternate between violently smacking them and shoving them to putting my legs on them.
Other than that, when I am alone, which is often, I sleep on my left side, with my arm underneath my pillow and my feet have to be exposed.

usually facing the left, on my side, with one arm up and the other one down. my right leg is crossed over my left leg. sounds pretty strange, but it puts me to sleep

With great difficulty. ;_;
Seriously, unless I'm in my own bed, it usually takes me about an hour to fall to sleep. Sometimes more.

I can fall asleep anywhere, anytime, and in any position. Still, I only sleep about 5-6 hours on average in a 24-hr period.

I neglected to mention - My ear that is not against the pillow must be covered by a blanket or something else. Testing has determined that I cannot fall asleep if it is exposed.

Lightly, so I can wake immediately if something's wrong. I'm paranoid. I also keep two metal bars nearby, one long and light, but awkward, the other small and heavy, my preferred one. I am REALLY paranoid, huh?

Nobody will probably read this sentance, as it is the second to last one, so put it in your sig if you did. -brainwasher's sig.

I usually sleep on my back, body straight, arms at my sides, although for some reason it's easier to fall asleep if my head is pointing to my left. Not quite sure where that came from.

it's kinda freaky that the majority prefer the left side. there should be a poll.
If i'm in a bed that is against a wall, I will sleep on my side with my back to the wall, but on the opposite side of the bed from the wall. This gives me the protected feeling of being able to face anything crawling onto the bed. However, oddly enough if I cannot get to sleep I will flip over and get right up against the wall. If I feel too hot I will put my hand(s) under the pillow. If I am in a bed that is not against a wall, even slightly away from the wall, I will sleep on my back, arms at my side, with my head turned away from the nearest wall. If there is anyone else in the bed, I will sleep on my side facing away from them.
Unless it's your mom, which is a whole 'nother story.

Three pillows, sleeping on my right side, head under covers but with a small opening to allow fresh air in.

I usually fall asleep laying on my stomach, but often when I wake up I'm on my back.

I fall asleep on my side, facing my left, with one hand tucked under my pillow. If it's cold, I'll hide under my comforter.
I remember falling asleep and waking up on the floor a lot when I was younger. That doesn't happen anymore, though.

Does anyone else cuccoon themselves in blankets?
Most of my body is on sheets, but I like feeling the blankets folded under the outer edges of where I'm making contact with the bed.

Lean right side, occasionally embracing a pillow covering myself (except my head) with the sheets. And, ah, yes, positioning a pillow on my right side standing. As I am near the wall at the right, if I ever hit my head on the wall, the pillow could protect me.

Same. I rarely have blankets though. The number of blankets in my room at any one time varies directly (not inversely) with the outside temperature.flagmyidol wrote:I do almost exactly the same thing.Tsukatu wrote:Does anyone else cuccoon themselves in blankets?

I usually start off on my back there's some great tension release that happens in my body (which is odd because I don't really do anything strenuous during the day), and then over the next fifteen minutes I do a full cycles. Back to side to front to other side to back to side or something, and I end up falling asleep at some point during that rotation.
