Let's say you've created your level.
You see the white box in the top right next to "level data"? That is... well, your level data. What you want to do is click inside that box, highlight everything, and copy/paste it into a Notepad file or something. Or, using that same level data, you could submit it to NUMA.
Say you've put it in a Notepad file and saved it, and you now want to play that level. Copy the level data back from the Notepad file, and replace everything in that top right box with this new data. Now, click outside of the white box and then press the letter "L". You have to click outside of the white box first because if you don't, you'll end up typing the letter L at the end of your level data and it will corrupt things.
You should now see your level that you created in the background. Press "P" to start playing the game, and you need to have caps-lock on to play it normally. With caps-lock off, you end up using what's called frame-by-frame mode which is something you can ignore entirely.
If you've created levels before, but never copied that level data somewhere, and you want to play them again now, you can't. Sorry!

I'm guessing that you've just not switched caps lock on. When you do, pressing P on the ned main menu will allow you to play. If you desire to save the map, just follow Yanni's instructions ^^

I have created about 6 different levels of my own and I've tested and played them all in the debug mode. Now I've been reading through some things and as far as I'm concerned, there is a way to get your own levels into the 'User Levels' place. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to do it. Is it possible for someone to help me with this? It's bugging me because I want to play my levels with the timer at the top but I can't figure out how. Help?

Kay dude. Open up N, the WinRar file or whatever you're using. There should be a file as 'userlevels.txt'. You see it? Click that. There, there is all the levels' map data you see in the 'userlevels' menu in N. Then post the map data Ned (n editor) provided you. But not just the map data, using the following format; (It would be helpful to organize the stuff if you leave a empty line between the other level's map data)Jakeeyy93 wrote:I have created about 6 different levels of my own and I've tested and played them all in the debug mode. Code: Select all
$Level Name#Author Name#Map Type (action / race / etc.)#Map Data#

You can delete other people's maps from that text file, but it is vital that you leave
&userdata=
at the very top of the whole thing.

Tunco, I tried that. I've done all that. But it doesn't work.
I put my level data stuff into that file and pressed save and then closed it. Then i went to my user levels thing and there's nothing there. No user levels or anything. Nada. Zip. Zilch.
Help again?

As Slappy said, make sure &userdata= is at the top of the text file.Jakeeyy93 wrote:Tunco, I tried that. I've done all that. But it doesn't work.

Your map data should be placed within naming constraints: $map name#author#map type#map data#

Yeah. &userdata= is there. And I've put all my levels in that format with the $map name#author#map type#map data#. It's all there, it's all done. But it still won't work.

Is the file saved as "userlevels"?
Is the file a text file.
Is the file in the same folder as your N v_1.4 game?

Oh My God. Thank you so much. I honestly didn't realise that the game should be in the same folder as the userlevels.txt file. I'm such a dickhead. How obvious. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. :)
