Myth: Masturbation is healthy and natural, and it has very little negative consequences or effects.

Reality: Masturbation is an outright sin and in most cases leads to hair falling out of your body and feeling like dirt for the rest of your life.

Unsure. But maybe they will still taste different even if you can't smell them. (although smell can influence the taste, apples and onions are, I think, different in each other, not only in smell but in taste too)

Yay. I always post before I think.

Okay, smell and taste are indeed connected. If it smells bad, you think it will taste bad because of the smell, leading to the food tasting bad. (Most of the time)

Just one question: since taste is connected to smell, is the mind also? If you just think the food will taste bad but you don't smell it if it's bad or not, will it taste bad just by thinking? Or not?

Dude, you don't get the point. Your brain determines whether the food tastes good or not without needing you to even think about it. That's why your brain is ultra-super-duper-incredibly-amazingly-astonishingly-ohmyicantfindanywordsanymore-awesome.

Oh! Oh! "Standing in front of an operating microwave kills brain cells / gives you cancer."

Microwaves should really be called "centiwaves," and the purpose of that mesh screen is to trap them centiwaves inside. You might have noticed that after years of use, any walls or furniture or appliances sitting in the centiwave oven's line of horrible radioactive beam-fire is in a curious state of "not melted," and neither is the oven door.

Oh, Studebacher Hoch's sister believes that if you leave the refrigerator open, it will fill your house with poisonous gas.

If that were true, then how come the food isn't poisonous? People are so silly.

That is crap. It might make you a nerd, but it won´t mess with your brain. Another common myth is: Sitting to close to the TV is bad for you. The reality is that you could put your face on the TV the entire day without it damaging you. Obviously, it isn´t the most enjoyable way to watch though. I did here that old old TVs were bad to watch up close, but anything a person has today will be fine.

Amusingly I know of a fish and chip shop owner that got lazy so took the door off of his microwave to cook pies easier and ended up cooking himself.

Y'know, I could've sworn I saw a movie trailer recently (might've been a SAW sequel) where some guy was tied down with his head in the microwave, which turned on and blew up his head after ~10 seconds on HIGH. I was highly amused at the straws Hollywood is grasping at these days.

I don't really study microwave physics, so you'll have to explain to me what exactly is wrong with this.

Well, it'd take a helluva lot longer than 10 seconds. But what I found more funny was the idea that the writers actually thought this was a fear to exploit in a movie. I mean, all kinds of commonplace fears are capitalized upon by Hollywood, like claustrophobia, being tortured, monsters in the dark, etc. But radiation from microwaves doesn't exactly strike fear into the hearts of Americans.

Dude, I have more than 50 devices in my house that produces radiation. I should be feared to death atm. :@
