Kari isn't anything close to the scientist she's dressed up as. She's just an assistant who does clerical work. She's the Mythbusters equivalent of a secretary.
Incidentally, you actually can find some high-quality women in the Biology department at your university. There's something about Biology, Psychology, and Nutritional Studies that draws highly attractive, highly intelligent women. Y'know, women who, for all intents and purposes, are nothing like Kari Byron.

Wow, way to be all 55-year old cab driver all of a sudden. I didn't think the paranoia that psychologists were the craziest of people had lasted through the 70's, but thank for the blast from the past.
On the contrary: a large concentration of the women in Psych majors, I've found, are there for MRS degrees.
