Old post:
I know this was already posted in irc, but now that we're losing I felt it needed to be broadcasted further. The minecraft fans have obviously organized voting en masse for this one, and we need to hit back, as we're currently behind by about forty votes. I feel I should point out that you can vote in multiple browsers, too (i.e. once in Chrome, once in Firefox, once in IE, etc).

The deadline for voting is May 14th, so get voting!

Don't worry about getting Braid in the next round.

<~blue_tetris> First off, making a game and calling it the sequel to Tetris is like making "Butter 2: Revenge of Butter".
<~blue_tetris> And it's actually margarine.

Apparently you can vote more than once. Not sure if it's a daily thing or what.

EDIT: According to Wikipedia, Minecraft has over 200000 registered users, so I say cheat all we can. Also, let's get on their IRC channel and wage a war of the words later.

Um. We have less than 200000 /maps/ and many of NUMA's "registered users" never gave the site a second thought after creating an account, so I doubt they'll vote. A better comparison would be to compare our forums and their forums.

I just got an idea of what Minecraft is all about on YouTube, and I must say, I am stunned that it's even popular at all.
Have these people never heard of Google Sketchup?

Current vote count is 611, N has 334 and Minecraft has 277.

The day we win this tournament will declared a international holiday within our community.

353 to 281, Our lead grows. I played some of this minecraft and it pails in comparison to N. N has a point to it and offers the unlimited playability, minecraft has no point to it.

Uh, don't get me wrong - I do love the game, but just what is that point, sorry?

We are most likely going to have to take on Braid in round 2, that is going to be a tough battle. Braid was a great game, but not quite as good as N seeing as it only took me like 5 hours to beat it.
