Um, aren't columns 80-99 user created? Hopefully they'll add more, but still.MAXXXON wrote:User-created episodes.
Also, I agree with Hero in that Nreality should stay as Nreality. As good as Nreality is, it is a different thing to N. I do think that M&R should release the source code so that Unreality can continue to make improvements. ^_^

All I need is: Custom episode editor. I should be able to edit how many maps there are in one episode, and the length of the ninja's lifespan at the beginning of each level/episode. Also helpful would be a lifespan bar in the map editor so people know how much gold to put in a level.
I wouldn't be so episodic-centric if not for the mappack I'm making now. :/

There are several things I want to see in N 1.5:
1) The ability to create episodes, as mentioned above.
2) An easy access to a simplified NED: it's not bad.
3) More and more secrets!
4) Ability to change headband colours.
That's all!
Have a good day!

"Achievements" is another good idea. And you can access to Episode X only if you have that achievement or "5 or more" achievements...Universezero wrote:I totally agree. There should be secret episodes that can only be unlocked by completing odd achievements in the ordinary levels, like "Complete Motherlode Without Walljumping" or something. That would be cool.Gan wrote:3) More and more secrets!
Come on guys, make this the best N!

yeah, that's probably the most important thing. a more user-friendly editor would certainly heavily increase the popularity of N.Gan wrote:An easy access to a simplified NED

What makes it user-unfriendly now? It's one of the most efficient and easy to use map editors in any game I know of.nevershine wrote:yeah, that's probably the most important thing. a more user-friendly editor would certainly heavily increase the popularity of N.Gan wrote:An easy access to a simplified NED

I agree. And all this "achievement" and other fancy stuff seems a little iffy to me. N is so good as it is; why not just fix the few problems with it instead of adding all this stuff?incluye wrote:What makes it user-unfriendly now? And yeah, I meant the ability to create your own episodes. It would totally revolutionize mappacks.

of course it /is/ efficient, but only once you got the hang of it. particularly the fact the editor isn't mentioned in the main menu bugs me, 2 of my friends who also started playing N didn't even know there was a possibility to create own maps until I told them. :/incluye wrote:What makes it user-unfriendly now? I think achievements will be good... not too much, anyway!

Oh, hey, if v1.5 is gonna have new userlevels and stuff we totally need to vote on that sometime.Brainwasher wrote:I think he means adding doors in the middle of a grid box, instead of just on the boarders of one. In terms of new columns, I think SUNSHINEscience would be a good addition, as it feels Mare&Raigan - esque with an atob sheen. But with the (proposed) implementation of user episodes, this may be unnecessary.Pheidippides wrote:Also, DigitalDuck, you can already add doors wherever you please. ',:/

I think achievements would be a waste of time (like they are in, you know, every game. besides achievement unlocked, a parody of the achievement system), especially when all we really need is a few tweaks and more levels. More secrets would be good, more unlockables, but not "oh yay I got killed by my 12738951st chaingun drone, sweet!" because THAT IS USELESS.
