New competition!

CLASH OF THE COLLAB GROUPS

Round theme: LAUNCHPADS - Do something creative with launchpads!
Challenge rule: Solitude - Each object must be one tile away from surrounding objects. Objects may be in the same place, i.e. trap under gold. Rule does not apply to ninja and exit door/key.

The name of the game. Every two weeks, a new round will be started. Collab groups will face off in a mapping competition to see who is the "supreme" collab group!
SIGNING UP:

Signing up is fairly simple. A representative from a collab group will post in here, stating that "collab group" would like to participate. It would be wise to get approval of each participating member before signing up!

RULES:

Maps will be made according to guidelines given at the start of the new round. A "challenge rule" will be given. Challenge rules are optional guidelines to creating the map that will increase difficulty in making it. Sounds like a pain? Yes, but not without gain! Following challenge rules nets the group extra points onto their total. However, do not let these challenges hinder other areas of the map!

JUDGING:

Judging will consist of 5 areas:
Gameplay: 20/20
Accordance to Theme: 25/25
Aesthetics: 15/15
Teamwork: 30/30
Creativity: 10/10
100/100
With an added challenge bonus of 10/10, according to how well you followed the challenge guidelines. Challenge bonus points are added into your current score from the above. They do not harm your score if you fail the challenge.

After the two weeks, the group with the highest scored points will have it added into their contest total.

PRIZES:

Prizes are to be awarded at the end of the contest. Prizes are:
1st place: 1st place Userbar, dedication map
Other placements will receive a different userbar.

MAPS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO NUMA WITH THE TAG "COTCG"
A separate tag "COTCG*roundnumber*" would be nice to have as well.
Private message me if you wish to be a judge.

Signed up groups:
- Mirage
- orangekraken
- the-Riot
- Mixtapes
- AsTheIceMelts

SUBMISSIONS DUE BY JULY 14TH

Now would be the time to ask questions.

What happens if I'm a part of multiple groups that sign up? Do I have to pick one or can I work for both?

Max:

You can put yourself into whichever group has less people to even things out. It would be weird to have you competing against yourself.

If the groups yo uare in have the same amount of people, it's your choice.

You can have whoever is available on your team in the collab.

People can also drop in and out as they please, as long as the team remains with 2 or more participants.
Ex:
RadiumFalcon participates in Round 1.
Radium sits out Round 2.
Radium participates in Round 3.

However, the more participants you have, the more fun it is!

Do you prefer that we make a collab group account on numa, or sub it to one of the participating members' accounts?

Can you go ahead and announce the first theme? It takes a while as a group to make a map (people busy, etc.)

Preferred to be submitted to the collab account with tags in first post.

By 1 tile apart, do you mean 1 or 2 (see attached map)

Edit: Also, what about drones? Are they allowed to move near other objects?

I mean 1.

It means the starting positions, so drones are allowed to move near other objects, yes.

That answers my question.

And, you can take life247 off that list, he's with mixtapes

Yeah, I know; pretty pathetic. I only went through with it because it was slightly less pathetic than using the word "impaired" as an insult. BAM

On a completely unrelated and decidedly on-topic note: Cheez, do normal doors and trap doors have the same exclusion from the object rule as exit doors?
