I love Ronaldo when he's playing for Madrid, but today he is a bumbling toddler.

Also of note: Torres was having a solid game (unlike previous) before he was subbed. Good news for people who love Spanish news.

I'm not discounting his play; when he had the ball, he made things happen. My problem came from his constant diving (or even being fouled) and then sitting on the field for a minute because he didn't get a free kick. todddddleeeerrrrr

Yeah, no kidding. I am curious as to why the Netherlands seemed so reluctant to score a third at the end there. The pitch also got a bit ridiculous near the corner flag during that scuffle late on.

...no, most of the times he did not. Many times what he did was: ball, run, tackle and fall/shoot from a very fucking long distance.

Also, at lord_day, I would agree with you, but many if not most of the most dangerous situations we had, Ronaldo wasn't there (except for when Hugo Almeida didn't see him :<<< and when the referees didn't see the fucking faults).

Don't take me wrong, I'm not saying he's awful and he's the worse and blablabla - I just dislike to see you praising him like he was the best player in the game.

That particular sentence was more aimed at lord_day than at you.

But I partly interpreted the "when he had the ball, he made things happen." the way I shouldn't have.

(I also had/have no idea what bumbling toddler meant, so I couldn't possibly have interpreted the expression in any way)

Melo scored an own goal, didn't challenge Sneijder for the second goal and got a red card. Good going!

Also, while Uruguay won the night with a horrendous hand ball, I feel that I can't respect the Ghana team. In every match I've watched them play that goes into extra time, they suddenly all get injured...

Anyway, it was a good day to watch football from a neutral perspective. Alot of drama and good football.
