You didn't see the close drone dodges? D:
The map has more than 15 bb's. D:
Just because tricks are possible doesn't mean they are the fastest route; especially with bounce blocks because of the delay time for double, triple, and quad jumps. It is often faster just to do a normal jump off them.

Well I just spent an hour and a half trying to do one of these on 20-0 (simplest map I thought), and my demo ended up 3 frames slower than xaelar/angerfist. I don't think I'm cut out for this =[

89-2 speed is odd, because moh and I both came up with the exact same innov on our own, but when I did it, I thought it was slower, then when moh did it, he proved it was faster.

I tried 61-1 but it is undoable by a human :D

Could you create a demo for 65-0 moh? Should be about 121.4 without innovations / route changes.

Yeah, since if you do the jump under the drone one frame later than I do now, the other drone doesn't come back up.

Most of the run are just awesome. =)

It's incredible how much time you can save without doing anything "undoable" (i mean, no funny tricks and no innovation), like on 00-3. Well, cj help, but 1.775, wow.

We -human- are as slow as that :O

41-1 is sick because through that entire run you only touched flat ground for 1 frame.
80-1 I was shocked that you got that much out of it. Your ending was fantastic.
90-1 getting that gold from under the drone looks crazy when you actually watch for it. I missed it like the first 3 times I watched it.

I have no doubt that we the community will close in on 20 hours soon enough especially with runs like these. You saved 197 frames in those 5 runs. Well done.

Wow, those are seriously awesome!
Here's something I've been wondering for a while: what is demo splicing? I'm assuming it's different from manually built...

The way I understand demo splicing (since I haven't done it, I'm not entirely sure) is that you play a map in parts in NED, starting one section where you end another section, and stick the demo data for the second section onto the end of the demo data for the first section, and so on for all the other sections. This allows you to go through a difficult map part by part instead of all at once.

Hmm... The ninja would have to stop between sections, I assume... And you'd have to pause at a frame count that's divisible by 7
I'm definitely curious about this.

Demo splicing is what I did here scroll down for my demo: http://www.nmaps.net/157307 You will notice that the ninja stops every so often that is where i spliced the demo together. As far as I know you can not be moving when the splice happens other wise the demo will come unsynced. basically I made each part individually, but I have to make sure that the ninja lines up perfectly to the pixel of where the last demo left off. If N had savestates you could splice while moving, but we can only hope for that and rerecording in v1.5

MBDing is writing the demo in code rather than actually playing, whereas I play each part in FBF or real time and spliced them together.

Yes - this add-on into 1.5 would be fantastic rather than compromising with a 3rd party program and this would allow "TASing" to be much more efficient.
Secondly, The only thing that really separates TAS runs from MBD runs is that TAS runs are usually played in real-time (albeit, usually slowed down to aid accuracy, then re-recorded if necessary to optimise gameplay.) 'MBDs' imo are a lot harder to create considering that you need to almost mathematically create the runs and a lot of trial and error is needed to be successful. Also, it goes without saying moh, you are the pioneer of MBDing and also a great asset to the highscoring community in general.
So thanks.
