bufar1
A 11/25 not much to look at. worked well for the map though.
G 12/15 the drones are good, the sniper is double-deadly and the difficulty is
balanced out nicely.
O 4/10 not very original.
bufar2
G 19/25 nice concept. getting the whole cluster of the left gold is pretty much
impossible. the flow is good.
A 10/15 like the circles, don't like the arrows. they weren't really needed anyway.
O 8/10 original.
daikenkai1
A 17/25 nice tiles.
G 10/15 the sniper works like a dream, the drones didn't do it for me, although the
pathing is quite nice. the bounceblocks are a nice touch.
O 6/10 usage of the drones gets you the points here.
daikenkai2
G 24/25 just awesome. the flow, the timing of the lasers, the thwump mechanics, the
whole concept. always keeps you on your toes without being overwhelmingly difficult.
A 13/15 clean, even, nice.
O 9/10 original flow/pathing/layout.
marooned outpost
A 16/25 overall a good look, but sloppy in parts and in my opinion overuse of 5-
tiles.
G 9/15 the drones weren't used to full effect. the mines are fine. nice pathing
overall.
O 5/10 solid, nothing genius.
uptown boogie
G 12/25 a little too open for my taste. while having multiple paths is nothing bad,
there is at some points a lot of running around without much happening. some mines
have no effect at all. the drone paths are okay.
A 7/15 not bad, just a little unimaginative (gold, mines).
O 3/10 "standard" action map without any standout aspects.
prelude 3.1
A 12/25 a somewhat lacklustre attempt at creating a raggedy-looking map. it's okay.
G 6/15 the first drone is timed badly, the crooked gold room is awkward and the
channel at the very right is more annoying than it is challenging.
O 6/10 original to some extent.
prelude 3.0
G 20/25 like a better second draft of guru's map. while it is still open, it has
more or less defined paths, the gold/floorguard combo is innovative and the chaingun
and rocket deliver that extra ounce of difficulty that is needed to keep the map
from becoming boring. exit placement could've maybe been better.
A 11/15 clean, but aesthetically appealing. a little too empty maybe.
O 8/10 original aspects to be found here.
lj11, who didn't feel the need to submit maps, and da_guru, for you the contest ends here. crescor, daikenkai and bufar, good job. you move on to the final round. i will see to it that we have at least 2, hopefully 3 judges judging your final map.

It's sad that it has to end here after only two rounds, but of course that's also due to the small number of contestants.
Thanks, overall it was fun, you should definitely host a similar contest in the future!
Good luck you three for the final round.
p.s. Can I have a cookie as consolation prize? =)

sorry for being unclear, but you still only have a week to submit maps. which means there is two days left. just a reminder.sTalkR wrote: round 3 will end when all 3 players have submitted their maps.

Now there can only be one option for you: Do it again and do it better.
Thanks again for letting us all be part of this competition, at least I enjoyed it for two rounds.
Ah, yeah: Congrats, Daik.
