Taco Salad
Ingredients:
Brown the beef in a frying pan or something. When it's about done, sprinkle in a good amount of taco seasoning, mix it in and put the frying pan or something aside. Wash the lettuce and tomatoes and chop them both up into little slices, then throw them in a big pot. Add the seasoned beef and the cheese to the pot and vicariously mix about. Eat with chips; Tostitos Lime chips are large and light and add a delicious limey tang.

Did not realize that noodles were so vocal about being cooked.Bigblargh wrote:Protip: When you make Ramen, crack an egg and put it in the water 10 seconds 'till the noodles are done cooing. It cooks the egg instantaneously and it's delicious.

I tried this today and it was the most delicious bowl of noodles I have ever made. It really does work and only takes a couple seconds for the egg to cook.Bigblargh wrote:Protip: When you make Ramen, crack an egg and put it in the water 10 seconds 'till the noodles are done cooing. Quesedillas!
Requires: Frying pan, spatula, a lot of tortillas, shredded cheese (preferably a mixture of cheese, but if not, cheddar's better), chili powder, paprika, pepper, sour cream.
Instructions:
Put the frying pan on the stove at medium heat.
Apply a generous pat of butter on the pan, and spread with a spatula.
It'll start to take on a darker color, and it'll sizzle like crazy. When this happens, place one tortilla on the pan, throw the cheese on there, and sprinkle spices.
Put the other tortilla on immediately afterward.
If you're going for a nice golden brown color, leave it on the first side anywhere from 7 to 10 minutes, depending on your oven. The second side will, understandably cook much faster, being done in around 2 minutes or so.
This entire thing should only take ten to 15 minutes. Not long at all. Make absolutely sure that you don't leave it under any circumstances! It burns amazingly fast.
When done, slide onto a plate. Take a pizza cutter and cut it into eighths. Smack a dollop of sour cream in the middle, and there you go!
I prefer to use butter instead of a spray, because butter gives it a little more flavor, and cooks it faster, making the tortilla a little crispier on the outside. I also like to use oregano because I really like clashing, jarring flavors in my food. This is best served with Mexican rice, mixed with orzo, peppers, and carrots. That's usually what I eat it with, but if that's unavailable, I just stick with sour cream.

No, do not use a metal spatula (or any metal cooking implements) with a Wok, frying pan or similar. It destroys the no-stick coating.PALEMOON wrote:TOOLS:

A metal Spatula or something like that.

Fried Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich
Take any number of slices of bread. Spread any amount of peanut butter or jelly on the insides of the bread. Stack (x) number of slices of bread on top of each other. Put an amount of oil in the pan that you think is reasonable. Place the stack of bread slices in the pan on a medium-low heat. Fry until brown on the underside. Flip over. Add maple syrup and brown sugar at your leisure during frying. Remove from pan when fried enough. Add more ingredients if necessary.
Use a fork and a knife.

This is so fantastic. Spread the brown sugar on with the back of a spoon, and then add a mixture of syrup and honey on top, also spread with a spoon. It's soooooooo good.Manus Australis wrote:Fried Peanut Butter and Jelly SandwichPreparation

This with the idea of putting noodles in to a boiling pan of water the draining the water? So before that crack the egg and put it in to the water with the noodles, drain water, eat noodles? I don't usually make noodles like that, I usually smash up a bag of instant noodles, pour in to a cup, pour in cup-a-soup mixture, pour on boiling water. I'd be eating some right now if we weren't out of noodles.Bigblargh wrote:Protip: When you make Ramen, crack an egg and put it in the water 10 seconds 'till the noodles are done cooking.
