well i failed my exams with a reason for most of my failings:

french, D my teacher couldnt teach/control the class

systems and control, D there was a school trip during the week that they made an automaton for coursework so my course work was at around 25% instead of 60%

geology, D i dunno why i picked this...

but i did pass maths (B) physics (B) and chemistry (C/B)

Well done! That's incredibly good.

I wish my school could let me do that many subjects.

Anyway, I'd like to see his percentage results. They only give back actual marks for maths and modern languages and they're scaled (not actual) percentages, but anyway. Here are mine for comparison. 100% in Maths, 97% in Spanish, 98% in French (from last year).

I'm still trying to get my school to allow me to do 5 A-levels instead of 4.

Corrected. And now it sounds like a bad joke.

Hmm... Not sure. But, if she's consistent, then I assume 100% total on Maths, and probably on a few others as well...

Maths: A*
Biology: A (A single mark off an A*. I know.)
Chemistry: A*
Physics: A*
English Language: A*
English Literature: A*
Information Technology: A/B (Uniform Grading System means it's on the borderline)
Religious Education: A
Geography: A*
History: A*
French: A

So that's 7 A*'s, 3 A's and a B at the worst for two years of work. A pretty sweet tradeoff. Now I'll see if I can dig up some percentages...

And HAHA I BEATS DRATHMOORE.

I had a nagging feeling you'd be using this thread to publically rub it in my face...

Grr...

"This time I'll let you go, but the next time... You won't be so lucky!" - I feel it's a fitting quote here. And just remember, we're in the same Further Maths class next week (I hope), and possibly the same Physics class!

Just got my results for Maths and French (I'm doing them a year early), and I got A* in both, so I'm really pleased with those :D

Bump.

It's the time of year again, so let's share everything :3

I got in my GCSEs

A* in Maths
A* in Chemistry
A* in French
A* in Physics

All of them being subjects I'm taking or have already taken for A-level. (Got an A in AS French)

A in ICT
A in Biology
A in Music
A in Spanish

All of them subjects I was thinking of doing at one point during Year 10 and 11

B in Food Tech
B in English Language
B in English Lit

Food which I took for a bit of fun since I like cooking (and my friend was taking it also), and the other two subjects I had to do, hating them. Wouldn't think about doing English in A-Level in a million years, lol.

Well as Drathmoore said last year, next year is serious studying hell (especially if you're going to do Further Maths o_O), so, gotta do well in those since they're the most important.

Mintnut makes me confident that the next two years would be the best, so, it's all good.

What sort of an idiot are you to lose a mark?! Those exams are doss thinking back to it :D :D :D

In all seriousness, that's impressive. I managed to lose 9 across AS Maths. Disappointed.

Maths A-Level - B overall. The AS is an A, but I did pretty poorly in the A2 core modules (obtaining a C and a D) that my overall grade was pulled down.

Chemistry AS - B
Sort of the same thing, really. Final exam dragged my grade down, so I was 6 marks short of an A.

Biology AS - A
Physics AS - A.

As of... 2006/2007 (i think) I got

B in maths

BB in science

...every other was a fail, I also failed my A level IT class (Telling an autistic person you're going to fail is bad for their motivation) but I've passed every course since apart from IT apprenticeship which I just can't be bothered to finish (Oh hey you changed the qualification mid course. To one I already have.). During the past 4 to 3 years I've learnt to actually do coursework though so *shrugs* I start my game design course tomorrow.

Also I'd have A in maths if it wasn't for having to do coursework for it (Seriously wtf writing 3 page essay on T numbers or some crap, I did horrendously on the written part but got all the math right). I'm not very good with poetry/shakespear stuff (hell they didn't even enter me for the literature exam) so I failed english, I did get English Keyskills level 2 (Proves you understand grammar/spelling fine etc. I may attempt level 3 when I can be bothered.)during my first year of college though. My IT GCSE teachers were awesome (sarcasm), one ran through the lesson as quick as possible then told other students to teach you it and never helped me catch up when I was ill for about 4-weeks with a really bad flu, he left after that year, the second teacher deleted all my fucking work and told me to start again. My tech choice didn't go so well because I switched classes after a year and I accidentally slept through the exam (As in didn't even wake up and go take it :/). I was only a few marks off of an A with my science (Once again course work and the final exam requiring lots of written work). Religious Education I just wrote whatever came to mind and somehow got an E (As in I actually got marks for writing something completely unrelated, I think I wrote a short story about a boy and his dog for one of the answers). Geography... I thought I was taking Geology... I don't understand people so that went so well.
