I mean the same design and logo... but you do actually have a valid point (though personally I like that more than the old Image display). The L Word #1 Fan! wrote:What? :<Lenny wrote:Google's had the same thing since for ever and it's worked brilliantly for them. Maybe put golds at the place of the ninjas for the rating, it's more logic.
I also like Inspired first compotition.
I know this is not in the design of the site but I've ever dream of a Top Rated list of all time. By Top Rated i mean a combination of more rated and best rated with a kind of score for each maps. But how calcul this score ? Is a 10 ratings 5/5 better than a 20 ratings 4/5 ?
And a "time" search like:
- Only maps from this day.
- Only maps from the last week.
- Only maps from the last month.
- Only maps from the last year.
So if you want to play good new races you search "maps from the last month, race, best rated".

That used to exist, but has since been removed. I doubt it will return, given that people have actively decided that is was unneccesary. :/The Black Lion wrote:Techno first design is the best ! The palette is near to N colours but darker, it's excellent.

That actually never existed. Top Rated was listed from the Top Rated map to the Lowest Rated map. You could sort by rates and date submitted and such but it was never separated by time frame, like how Lion described. I've been an advocate for staggered Top Rated systems much like how deviantART organizes their Top Rated uploads.squibbles wrote:That used to exist, but has since been removed. And while I appreciate r_t's initiative, this is much more a community decision and shouldn't be directed on the whim of the current admin.
Besides, I've not seen any design yet that does as well as the current. Most of those submitted are too stylised, they'll piss people off as much as they'll make people happy. The current design is slick and subdued, it's why it works so well.
PS - what NUMA needs desperately, imo:
Ability to edit/delete/preview news posts.
Ability to preview reviews.
Ability for moderators to delete/edit reviews if need be.
Moderation queue fixed.
Featured queue fixed (and fail-safe to ensure it doesn't break the same way again)
Search function fixed.
Thumbnails fixed.
Broken profiles and authors map list errors fixed.
Next x maps added to the top of the page.
Archive for news posts so we can browse backwards.
Properly integrate Sidke's favourite authors plug-in.
I'll add more if I think of them.

I agree with you on most of these except the featured maps queue. People were lazy when they had a queue and they are not as lazy without a queue. I would propose integrating a calendar that you can maybe select a date from and add a Review to be posted on that date. Otherwise we'll end up with Reviewers looking at the queue and going, "Oh, hey, there's a lot, I don't need to check this for 2 weeks" and then 2 weeks later we've had the same map up for days.atob wrote:Ability to edit/delete/preview news posts.

Here was my concept before I became bored and realized others could do it better.
