Heh, Beck. I remember how one of their songs was included with every installation of Windows Millennium Edition.

The band I played in supported em a couple/few years back. Don't like the music too much though haha

Also, I'm digging Tyler, The Creator- specifically Yonkers. A couple of tracks on bastard are good too, but Yonkers is the ones I've been reallllly listening to a lot.

and uh. 'Before I move off' - Mount Kimbie. I love it. It sounds like a state of mind

Also I can't seem to stop loving The Tallest Man On Earth. He's so great.

been listening to Nosaj Thing again a bit, he is also great. Especially like, Us, Light #1, Coat of Arms, 1685/Bach

and just scrolling through my iTunes I reckon i'll get back into Toe. They are too awesome. I wish they ventured to aus. Seriously check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvcFFPQi ... re=related

Also, the drummer is the most amazing drummer i've heard. Not that his beats are technically difficult or whatever. More than every beat is perfect and he drums so intuitively. Theres another more prominent reason for why he's so amazing but i can't seem to put it into words right now, not so much because it's really difficult to say, just because i'm scattered.

I'm seeing them this weekend! With Lorn and a bunch of other artists. And they're playing in a warehouse around the corner from my house. I'm excited.

As for music I've been digging, Tim Hecker's new album is sublime. I've been playing that a ton.

oh shit, nice, I didn't realise they were coming round here. I'd love to see them and a bajillion other things, cashless though haha. Is Teebs playing at the warehouse thing? Cos he's playing with Lorn around the place I think. I'm pretty jealous, sounds fun.

Teebs isn't playing at this gig, unfortunately. It's $40, but I think it may have sold out.

BUT, Ableton and some folks are running a "producer's conference" in the same space during the day which is FREE! Lorn is talking and stuff. You should pop along if you're interested, which I think you might just be.

Here's the flyer:

I'll be there. Feel free to seek me out for awkward real-life hellos. :P

Ah well. It was a great afternoon and evening, but I'm sure your gig was awesome too!

Sorry everyone for hi-jacking the topic, by the way. Carry on.

Edit: "diggin'" this one. (lol)

First one's an EP, second one's a full-length continuation of the storyline from the first one, and they are both absolutely amazing.

<Rose> they're like symphonic metal, but even more symphonic
<Rose> they're like theatrical metal
<Rose> AND IT KICKS SO MUCH ASS
<RandomDigits> cheeeeeeeeezy
<Rose> oh yes
<gloomp> i'm sorry but any band that thinks /that/ is an acceptable way to decorate anything are crazy bad
<Rose> it is very cheesy
<Rose> and over-the-top
<Rose> but it is so awesome
