So N is being shown in Berlin in February as part of a show about games which allow their players to contribute in some way, and the curator asked me to collect a whole bunch of supporting images/video of various aspects of the game. I'll be taking a bunch of randomly selected screenshots via NUMA, plus some of Metanet's faves, for example.

The curator also asked if she could include some info on the authors themselves, to give some more depth to your creations. She asked for info such as name, age, country of residence, photos etc if we had them. Since we don't, that is where you come in :) If you'd like to participate, please do! I'm not sure that she'll use all the info I send her, but the more the merrier.

This request is severely time-limited, unfortunately -- I have to send everything by this coming Thursday, January 20th, so if you can email stuff to me by Thursday morning at the latest, that would be great.

So here's what we need:
You would need to send an email to [email protected] (subject line: N in Berlin) including as much of the following as you are comfortable submitting:
  • 1. your name (first is probably fine) and NUMA handle/username

    2. other info about yourself eg. age, country you live in, interests etc

    3. a photo of you or link to one online

    4. screenshots (either from NUMA, or of you playing through them) of 3 of your favourite levels that you've made plus the level names and links to them on NUMA

    5. a short description of why you make N levels or what you like about making levels, or a description of your process

bonus: you can also include short videos of you making or playing through levels, or link to youtube videos you've made.

Anything is helpful! Any questions, please let me know here or by email.
thank you in advance!
Mare

ps since we're in the process of finishing the new version, look for more N-related news/requests to come soon...

I'm not a mapper so I don't have anything to contribute with expect the youtube video in my signature, showing PLAYING aspects of N, not mapping. I won't send it to your email since I doubt it's useful.

Looking forward to more N-related blogs and perhaps some beta :)

I also don't have much to contribute, since I'm way far over on the player side instead of the mapping side. But I'll be interested in seeing the resultant video from the show (preferably with subtitles if its in German :P ).

oops, force of habit. @metanetsoftware.com will work too. Either way, but you're right, @harveycartel is deprecated.

Thanks for the links! I'll ask if there will be video and will get it to you guys if there is.

I'm in for this Mare, but I can't really give you a picture of myself. D: Sorry! Does it matter if I don't, though?

ska's video compilation of some of the greatest N runs out there seems a great example of this. (Also it's a pretty damn cool way to spend six minutes, even if it doesn't fit the show.)

Although the non-N-ers might not see anything awesome in the runs. :(

Are there any Berlin-based N fans who will be attending the event, by the way? There may be an opening night party -- email/pm me if you're interested in the details.
