Hey, I'm on a limited internet connection. Is there software I can install on my Windows 7 PC to monitor my bandwith transfer?

If you open Task Manager, switch to the Networking tab, click View->Select Columns, and select 'Bytes', it will show you how much has been sent and received since you turned the computer on last opened Task Manager (which isn't as useful as I initially thought). You could then write it down somewhere and keep a running tally.
Although it seems you already found a solution >_>

Mildly unrelated comment.Inspired wrote:Well it is a family computer and my sister loves her youtube.
My sister likes youtube... a lot, as in she'll have 15+ tabs open to youtube at any one time. She also never closes Safari, or restarts her laptop, ever. Combine these factors and after a few months, even after closing all of the youtube tabs she had open, Safari had leaked so much memory that it was using 20 GB of virtual memory (I use Safari on OS X because it is pretty speedy, but I have no illusions to it staying that way weeks later).

I think I might be interested in doing this to, due to my insanely small package. Is this still working well for you Slaps?

I only monitor bandwidth on my phone, which is unlimited anyway, but I enjoy downloading gigs of information through a wireless 3G network.

Which provider do you have? I've heard tell of some telecom companies having an invisible limit on their "unlimited" plans (e.g. 5 GB).JUICE SPRINGSTEEN wrote:I only monitor bandwidth on my phone, which is unlimited anyway, but I enjoy downloading gigs of information through a wireless 3G network.

I have a verizon employee accommodation line, which is completely uncapped. I've used 13 gigs in a month once.

I thought, "Pff. I use that in a day." and then realized you were talking about your phone and was impressed.JUICE SPRINGSTEEN wrote:I have a verizon employee accommodation line, which is completely uncapped. I've used 13 gigs in a month once.

Jesus fucking Christ, you must be lonely. Offset some of that with alcoholism or mescaline or something. Goddamn.
