The name says it all. I just heard about N+ and it having multiplayer, I dropped what I was doing, rushed over to the N website, downloaded it and found out I downloaded N, then I went back in search for N+ PC and couldn't find it, I searched the web for 2 hours only to discover that N+ is only available on consoles. Where's The Feet? I mean, who cares about N+, I want multiplayer. ON PC. again... Where's The Feet? There is no reason that a inferior console should get something that amazing before the PC version. Developers these days are all sellouts, yes I am calling you sellouts Metanet. You go and develop that THINGS for consoles just because you know theres a decent way to market it on the console and you know it'll bring in some bucks. You never even tried to sell the PC version so you don't know how well it would do. I can't believe you would do that to us, if you made N with multiplayer on the PC, every single one of my friends and I would buy it, period. Shame on you Metanet, you broke my heart!
Where's The Feet?

It'd be easier to give you a rational reply if you weren't a complete dick over there. Welcome to the forums!
That said, here's your rational reply. N+ was a completely independent development outside of N (meaning the code is completely different) and was mostly done by third-party developers with Mare and Raigan's supervision (I'm pretty sure). Giving the PC version of N multiplayer has always been an idea chucked out of the window because M&R said themselves that their original code wasn't quite written well enough for multiplayer to be put into it easily. Also, N+ was being developed while they were working on a completely different game for PC, so any ideas for a new N were always put to the side.
Now, though, they've gone back to working on the next version of N having abandoned their other PC projects. This has involved rewriting all their code which, as a result, has made multiplayer on PC a possibility - they made an arcade version of N a few months ago based on this new code, and this version did include multiplayer. It would therefore not be a stretch of the imagination to think that if they ever do release N v1.5/2.0 (no one knows when this will happen, considering it's technically been in development for six years) it will include multiplayer.
It'd probably be worth your while to read up on and keep up with their developer blog, which is where you can find all the above info + related photos and such.

They're working on it; the next PC version of N will probably have multiplayer capabilities, among other features. You can read about what Mare and Raigan are planning, and how they are communicating with us forumers, here.
In the mean time, cry more and continue with your presumptuous statements.

And here's your irrational reply:
Who the wrench are you? "You go and develop that bubble for consoles just because you know theres a decent way to market it on the console and you know it'll bring in some bucks". Yeah. How pants dare they? Metanet is two people, two real people with bills to pay who developed a great game that you have enjoyed without paying a cent for, but wrench them, those sellouts.
P.S. Go bubble yourself, pantswit.
P.P.S. Welcome to the forums.

2. I was just venting to them, not you, I was displeased with their choice, you stepped over the line, also, no need to go spouting out profanity
3. Exactly, how dare they go searching for cash on the console market when all they had to do is develop it for PC, where it was born, and I would have happily paid their bills, along with many other people.
4. I never played N, so I never enjoyed anything they made without paying a cent. If they would have made it multiplayer and charged for it, I would have paid for it.
5. Thanks

I don't actually care, I'm just being silly, hence the "irrational" part of the reply. But, um, you've never even played N? And yet Metanet are "sellouts" who "broke your heart"? What's your emotional investment here? It seems like all your complaint boils down to is that N+ isn't available on the system of your choice, which perhaps justifies some disappointment but not abuse.Grimshad wrote:1. P.S. There are more polite ways to express your displeasure with a choice than the method you went with in your first post.
P.P.S. No need to point out the irony in this advice coming from the guy who called you a fuckS. Wrench.

As an aside, they didn't develop the console game. They had a bit of input, and got a bunch of royalties. Sad truth is that they really haven't developed anything since... 2005? '06? Man. Five years. That's rough.
Also, for said input, we calculated out the royalties that they had to have received, and it was either not much, or a holy massive fuckton, depending upon whether they got paid by-the-download.
