What are you talking about, TRO? Your route involved a rcj, not a normal cj, furthermore glib's run goes to the left, and doesn't utilise the close proximity of the right wall for added momentum.

56-0.

Is this impossible?
Can you think of any innovations to beat that drone and finish like van?
(The switch is not the problem, I just missed it while making a demo)

Low jump at the top (ljr)?
Better corner hit at the bottom?
Double jump?
Heightless cj in the middle e-tile?

I think you are on to something there. Also that was an interesting insight in to how you innovate a map. I'll see what I can come up with.

Climbin' on his hoes with big black backsides.
He's modding the forum with big authority.
shutting down the trolls with a dose of modesty.
Y'all know The Real One is the Prince of MBD.
But make sure he wraps it though, or you'll catch an STD!

The Real One is the real one you know, my friend.
When it comes to speedrunning, there really is no other.
Cos The Real One is a sick motherfucker.
y'all know The Real One divides and conquers,
showing mad skills, you'll swear he's bonkers.

He will always break away from the norm.
Laying down 0th runs and bringin' down a storm.

but then again some say I'm the new Slim.
Shady TRO is not, rest assured he's got.
He can even bring his game on a bender,
Don't challenge him unless your name is Hendor.
Even the greats like the likes of xaelar,
watch TRO's runs and his faces turns paler.
Sure there are dudes that can bust a move like Kryx,
But when it comes to N, TRO knows all the tricks.
Seifer once battled in a distant cypher,
but The real one plays N like the pied piper.
vankusss is in a whole different league,
watching from below with mystique and intrigue.

you better join the waiting list, it's 3 years or mo. fo sho

Cheers lads, van: a punk cover would be great too! Hehe.. Btw the original post was basically me being a grammar Nazi and calling tro out on using 'incite', when he meant to write 'insight', needless to say, he edited my post and the rest is history. The rap was pretty much inspired by the lonely Island who are the masters of comedy rap :)

HAHA absolutely awesome. I downloaded it, and it is now the start up tune for my computer. No joke. Well done Ska. You should make a rap/beat for a dda or race map.

How are you so god damn good at corner jumps?! You and xaelar knock them down like nothing. I swear that is the skill to master in order to top the rankings. Those drone suck with their timing, they are tough to time the proper gold collection in between switches.

Actually, my ratio with them is maybe like 1/4, so nothing amazing.
Xaelar's ratio, as far as I know, is somewhere around 1/50.

When I started taking 0ths, I used to be pretty awful at doing cjs. But nowadays I can do them well enough.
The ratio you are talking about, van, do you mean pulling a cj off every 4th / 50th try?
If so, my ratio for 38-2 for example was about 1/10. It absolutely depends on the difficulty of the cj.

I can tell you that I don't knock them down like nothing. I'm sure van is much better at cjs than I am.
I believe, and I'm 90% sure, it's not the special tricks but mainly the will and the ability to make very precise runs that is required to take many 0ths.

71-2 Speedrun
First jump is really easy to pull off, but landing perfectly on the platform near the switch isn't. Not sure if this would be any faster than normal if pulled off perfectly. Current 0th is 399 frames.

for 87-1, I once able to get both top right and bottom left gold with ONE laser drone shut down only.

It should save much time

It happened during my highscores career, NReality doesn't exist yet

I locked the bottom left drone first, then re-enter the diagonal, at that time the drone is shooting to the entrance, so I can get the bottom left gold freely.

Image

After that Jump fast to reach the top right laser drone and get the remaining gold, and then the laser drone shoot like this

Image

at that time I'm not good enough to get into the highscores ranking.

Hmm looks interesting, though I can't think of a route which could utilize that. You take both trap doors anyway since there is gold around them, and taking diagonal gold after 1 trap and after 2 traps doesn't seem to make much difference. If it saves anything, it would be in range like 0-40 frames (my estimation), which can be saved easily by cleaning. Dunno.

? You dont need to return from bottom right trigger back to center, it saved a whole lot of time

I think Unreality is right... it saves approximately 9 seconds initially. But you also need to factor in the delay for manipulating the laser drones (as well as avoiding the mines and the requirement to make the return journey using the 'top route'). I conservatively estimate a saving of 3-4 seconds after factoring in delays but it might even be more!
