Awesome run on 65-2 Eddy. Even though you only beat Lim by 1 frame that is great run. Lim's run was extremely clean and you took him out in the corners. That is a tall order. Great job dude.

Van great innovation on 9-2 so simple but it saved .3, a great find. Xaelar's lead on you is shrinking. He is within single digits again.

Took 40-4, but it can be like 0.5sec faster when you do only little jump on the side walls instead of full (if you know what i mean) and if you fly all over the left top switch (without touching the tile).

Both stunning runs. Exceptionally clean, especially 86-3, that will be tough to beat.

Someone needs to get that corner jump on 9-2 TFK had it, but he was slow at the beginning.

Btw, what now? There are currently 3 competitions trying to run (that ska thing, slayrs thing (which I ignore now), and BlackLions thing), all of them with like 1-3 contestants.
My question is: do we just let N die or what? I think the main problem is that there is almost no way to bring new players in the current state of the game (too good boards, no new maps, no userlevels in official version, no ingame chat, etc). So we can hibernate until new version comes, which will hopefully have at least half of NReality functionality, or we can try to come with a reasonable way to compete without original metanet highscore boards (because honestly, I'm sooo bored of the levels there, even if they have plenty of innovations left).

Currently, I think that you need around a thousand of hours playing in order to be really competitive. (that's about what I've spent playing the game)

That's a huge thing, top highscorers are here for years, it's now nearly impossible to come and claim the good spots.
Also, this community is quite hard to find, or even imagine it exists (when I first discovered N, it was only a stupid flashgame listed by a website, and I was playing in the web browser itself), because there is no link between this forum and the game. Also, I have never understood why this forum is so big, and how (and why) did the people come here if they are not playing much. Maybe it's because I have never visited another section than this.

Personnly I don't expect any new 'xaelar' to come^^ But i was already thinking this a few years ago, right before you came out of nowhere. Let's hope.

In any case, I can understand your frustration with a lack of competition. With you being the 'Biggest fish in the pond' as it were with xaelar being intermittently active and all. Nevertheless, my competition was never supposed to be a radical game changer just like a B-movie isn't striving to win Academy Awards. There is a genuine attachment between fans of N and the game itself, and whilst it may indeed take the next version to see newcomers and revivals you shouldn't give up hope. As much as I'd love to restart a grand tournament like a fully fledged Mistixia or Blur, I do not currently have the time nor motivation to do this. Even within N circles, I still have some old 'scores' (no pun intended) I'd like to settle as well as completing BoN2 at some stage...

That sounds pretty much :O But anyway, at what PC game can you be top without a lot of playing hours? I mean games like counter-strike, dota, wow, etc. And those thousand hours have been mostly fun for me so it isn't that negative factor.

Yea I found the forums randomly, googling the names of top players. There should definitely be a link in the next version.

I don't remember the context, but I don't think I really believed in that.

EDIT: @ska - I never considered your competition being like a B-movie. You are the prime example of why N is mainly about time - if someone gives you a month of free time, I'm sure you'll get plenty 0ths (given you never become bored, which isn't really probable)
