Tool-Assisted Highscores/Speedruns

NReality is a N add-on which is fully compatible with original N, and includes 500 new levels (Legacy Pack, this leaderboards are much easier of course),anti speedhack methods, speedrun and underclock modes, and even mods and things, etc ;)

However all those mods or enemies are rare, just for having some fun, all of the new levels are just normal levels, the thing is that there arent any hackers on this boards, players like xaelar Mr_Lim lookatthis etc downloaded NReality when it came out, theres a lot of information to tell you in this post, youll find it out with the time :D

http://n.infunity.com/ (Official NReality Website, I recommend you to download its last version (6d4), there are a lot of leaderboards there, however those leaderboards only include people who have used NReality of course, you can see 0th leaderboards, top20scores leaderboards, last 0ths made, last top20scores made, total level score leaderboards, etc)

I dont remember if you have to beat a level again on NReality to be able to submit it to this leaderboards or just open it and submit your current N scores (i did this 3 years ago and i dont remember right now if you can submit N1.4 scores to infunity leaderboards, anybody remembers?)

http://www.nmaps.net/ (N User Map Database, I dont know if you knew about this, but over 200000 maps submitted by people since 2004 are here, you can play them and comment them, and NReality includes leaderboards for every of those levels!)

Phew a lot of info to tell you, you should really try NReality, most (if not all) highscorers nowadays use it.

I see a hope you could revive the activity here, since its dying, almost nobody is taking 0ths now since it requires a lot of skill as you know and most highscorers left, we can count active highscorers nowadays with a hand's fingers.

Oh, also metanet has got a blog, they're finally developing Nv1.5 (http://www.metanetsoftware.com/blog/), sorry for this huge post but im very glad you found the community :P

You don't have to beat a level again to submit on NReality, but you do have to submit every episode individually.

On another note, I've always been very impressed with your runs any time you take a 0th. I think you've taken one from me a long time ago, although I can't remember which one it is.

but they'll be submitted as non-legit from v1.4 and have a dot next to the score and you'll be ranked below all the scores submitted from v5a and later, according to the website http://n.infunity.com/ .

Thats true, but since none of us here use Legit Mode that wont be a problem, it only affects Infunity leaderboards which, in my opinion, are less important and less satisfying (still awesome cool), i mean, NHigh and NHighx leaderboards are actually the important ones (oh, we have to show macrohenry this brilliant software too!), though i actually used to care about Infunity leaderboards, 0ths are much less satisfying there, as well as top20scores which you could get like a hundred a day, i still use it to see total level score, which i like to see often, as well as looking at speed and underclock boards.

Ehm, those are in fact REAL 0ths, not Legit Mode 0ths, i supose you already know it, but Legit Mode 0ths are easier because usually normal 0ths (legit mode off) are better than those, those are the 0ths i care about (hope that sentence was well constructed)

Zaps, if you've noticed, NHighX doesn't take into account the legit/non-legit status of NReality runs. So depending on your viewpoint, its a more accurate representation of peoples highscoring stats.

Absolutely awesome stuff here Raif. I can't believe how fast 31-4 was. I love what you did with my route. Most of the CJs I didn't even see. The final CK is awesome. 88-1 looks so smooth. I am kind of pissed that my innovation for the tunnel on the top of 11-3 only saved 1 frame, but whatever, a frame is a frame. 63-2 is awesome some of that looks like it could be done real time for some huge time savers.

Some of Mt. Doom needs to be used real time. Those innovations are too good not to. Entice is awesome glad to have worked on that route with you. It came out extremely fast. I didn't think there was that much left in Lim's run on 39-1 either. Well done. Keep them coming.
