Using the new shadow function, 8-3 has quite a few frames left, judging that I was like 3-4 frames faster before the final wall climbing.

the ghost feature is interesting; especially when contrasting two different highscores, although the new version lags for me, even without ghost mode. Oh wait... i probably need to change the settings like i did for 6c2 lol

You came up with a nice innov, i thought it was going to be faster, but im afraid its slower :/
Maybe if done faster its as fast as the current route, but still the drones would be in your way since you switch them later.

after looking at Eddy's pic I think that 999_Springs run is possible. IMO Springs this run just need clean-up. If u can get the beginning polished up then you can get the drones before the loop that JF waited for.999_Springs wrote:any chance at all this could be faster for 84-1? I was trying with Raif a while ago to make that level work, but didn't lead nowhere
that cj is probably a little faster but then you collect the switch later which messes the drones
though i bet there is a way how to beat the drones humanly, and mdb for sure

I agree with you Eddy. its just that i noticed Springs drawing the Seeker Drones (as they came out of the bunker) toward the far right wall. Yeah I talked with xaelar like 2 years ago about that innovation. The problem is the drones, you always have to wait for the drone to leave the box before you go in. Thus it make sense to get the switch before getting the gold. The only other option would be to time it so that you can chimney in between two of the drones exiting. I am not sure if this is possible but it may be. I (and to be fair, I think, many other players have discovered and tried this cj when JF was last active, but its use is limited due to the drones... I guess if you could time a drone extraction properly, or just get lucky you might be able to take the 0th.

I wonder if that is possible if you take the switch first...
The first red jump is way beyond what I can do, the black corner jump towards the upper gold depot is quite easy.
The first red jump is way beyond what I can do, the black corner jump towards the upper gold depot is quite easy.

Oh I didn't know you meant cj->cj, I thought you wanted to do cj->run on the slope. Double cj MIGHT get you there, but the 2nd cj type is really hard. And it's quite far in the run, so dunno. Raif?mfb wrote::(

By running from the far left, jumping on the curve and jumping again (no cjs), its possible to get there. But I doubt its faster.
btw, I improved my run on that level by 1 frame to break the tie.
