The ending was easier than I expected. I think the position of the E-tile above the gap + the speed at which you are falling makes it very easy to hit the corner in some form or other.

Took 34-1 back from xaelar..

A lot of history here with this level. Finally, after playing slavishly for a few hours, I managed to take back this level by a solitary, satisfying frame after making the route innovation in the first place - who knows when!? (early 2011 at a guess - How long has LFT been used, xaelar?)... Anyway, I knew there was at least a frame left after getting a .600 agd-1 run. This really is a hellishly difficult level to 0th as there are 3 major obstacles in increasing difficulty one must overcome to get a good score, with the 3rd obstacle, (the drone dodge) being the clincher, since everything prior is really just a warm-up and this obstacle serves to be a bottleneck using the current route. I'd love to see this one MBD'd, looking at you raif (as kryx's ANGERFIST run uses a faster start - although doesn't really serve much purpose in the current route, might be able to be used in a MBD run to beat the drones.)

79-4, 88-4, 96-4 and such have all quite hard increasing difficulty. You just need a lot of tries to pull everything off.

N is a game that exists in a great harmony of copy-cats and innovators. On any give map someone finds the fastest route and then inevitably people copy that run and out do the originator. Then someone comes up with something more ingenius. These days I think we have exhausted all most all of the "faster and easier" innovations, so if someone wants to take 0th they either need to snipe out frames or add in harder and harder innovations.

We went through the age of the double jump and 1&2-tile triple jump earlier, Then we went through the age of the corner jump and the age of the in between mines wall jump, Then the age of the backwards bounce block wall jump... There is always progression. I think the next big step may be cleaning up maps that could use 4-tile triple jumps. Those are huge time savers, but will destroy a run if failed.

Yeah, by a lot of history, I simply meant, a lot of different routes that have been built upon since this level was first introduced.

Definitely improvable. There is a lot of back and forth between you and Eddy on that map. You are way ahead at the very start. Your slide and first jump were prefect. That save a very large chunk of time, but you hesitation at the third switch put you behind Eddy, then you pulled ahead again at the top, then stayed ahead, but lost a frame or too clipping the corner in the center after the triple. Then finally you wall jumping doing to the exit was slower, but you lead you built in the top right carried you to the end. A seemingly simple map, but very hard to get everything right for the balls to the wall run. Especially the sliding turn-a-rounds.

You have to slow down a bit at the third switch, otherwise this happens:

Thats exactly the reason I dont do the first triple, I know it saves, but I always die on that drone, so I think its better not to do it and then just go faster (but not much or you'll die on that drone again). Doing it or not doing it doesnt affect the run, since we will then tie in that later part, the drone is a speed-limit.
Btw retook it, 112 possible.
Oh also retook 36-3, i dont know why, but I kept fucking up the ending. Funny how I beat Raif by jumping at the very end tunnel haha, we were tied until then (i think) :P
