RUNDOWN - by trance

From the last rankings in July, quite a bit has changed. Also, quite a few fantastic things have happened as well. The first and foremost is that the current highscoring grandmaster, EddyMataGallos, has surpassed xaelar in Total Level Score! Many congratulations to him! Another huge is that danielr, a new player who has appeared on the speedrunning boards with some jaw-dropping runs, has come in contact with the community. The highscoring community gives him a big welcome and hopes he will stay. As for the Top20 scene, golfkid managed to pass eru on his journey, and he now stands 1st, so congratulations to him, and lets see how many more he can attain!

With that being said, here is the rundown (click on the names):

vankusss (-6)

vankusss took the heaviest hit this ranking. Losing six 0ths while gaining only one. The one he took is 79-2 from golfkid, with an entirely new route in which he goes the opposite direction.

xaelar (-6)

xaelar also took a heavy hit as well. Losing six 0ths, he slowly climbs down with each of his 0ths being taken.

golfkid (-1)

golfkid only lost one 0th this time. That one, again, was 79-2, which he lost to vankusss.

Analu (-1)

Analu lost one 0th, but this one was one of his best. That one being 82-1, which he lost to macrohenry, was very clean run which stood there for years.

swipenet (-1)

swipenet lost one 0th as well, that one was 75-4. He lost it to EddyMataGallos by a single frame.

Mr_Lim (-1)

Mr_Lim's lost one of his 0ths to EddyMataGallos, which was 37-4. He couldn't keep up with Eddy's cleaning and the ending did make the difference.

nadroj347 (+0)

nadroj347 gained and lost one 0th. This one was 3-4, in which a three-way battle for the top was happening. He first took it from Eddy with a huge innovation, then vankusss took it and then improved it. nadroj then retook, but it fell to Eddy.

jpe27ace (+0)

jpe27ace, a new mysterious highscorer, took his first 0th on 3-3 from EddyMataGallos with a great innovation that surpassed the hacked run of crappitrash. As always, EddyMataGallos improved the score and retook it.

macrohenry (+4)

macrohenry gained four 0ths, a couple of which are special. The first one is 33-1 taken from vankusss, a fantastic run in which he surpassed L3X's cheated run. Another special run was 57-2, in which he raced xaelar throughout the map and came winning in the end. The next one was 82-1, in which he took one of Analu's last 0ths. This is a very clean run in which macrohenry was faster during the rise to the exit switch. The final one was 47-3, which he took from xaelar.

EddyMataGallos (+11)

EddyMataGallos, our current grandmaster, has pulled out some impressive runs with innovations. Some of the runs include 15-0, 15-2 and 15-4. Out of the three, 15-4 is the most impressive. The innovation comes in the ending, where Eddy makes a huge drop to exit in the ending. A fantastic display of skill for such a simple innovation. Other runs he took would be 3-3, 3-4, 37-4, 46-4, 52-4, 64-4, 70-4, 75-4, 87-2, and 93-4. With that being said, he has also gained Ownage on Episode 15, and again, passed xaelar in Total Level Score.

Now for some 0ths that haven't been taken. TWA_MATO_Titan came back to improve his 91-4 0th, and EddyMataGallos improved his 80-0 0th, which vankusss previously took. Once again, we congratulate EddyMataGallos for this highscoring feat and we welcome danielr into the highscoring community.

Ignored Cheaters and Hackers

Adjustements to the Rankings

When doing the rankings, some adjustements together with the ignoring list must be done in order to have absolutely proper and correct rankings. This extra adjustements are the following:

• Add Last_FairyTail 0ths to xaelar's count.
• Add van_come_to_irc 0ths to vankusss's count.
• Take into account that kryX's 25-2 tied 0th is Legit, even though he is ignored because the rest are cheated.

I want to thank this effort, and highlight the trance's rundown, it's nice. Of course I also want to congratulate all those highscorer who continue to fight mentioned here or not, and of course, our grandmaster, and my great friend, Eddy, you're the best! These are some impressive achievements already, as it is be higher than xaelar in the total level score, but I am quite sure, that if you keep going with so much passion and effort like now, you will go even further! How to achieve one day getting the largest amount of 0ths on the n history, or beat episodes scores and more! Keep it up Eddy!!!

At first I thought there's no way Eddy could hold over 272 0ths to break xaelar's record... But you never know... I personally predict Eddy will break 200 by the end of the year, and given enough time, peak at around the high 230s, low 240s. He's already cleared van's 184 record, and frankly... anything over 220 at this stage would be astounding...

Also the community is getting closer to 72k than I ever thought possible. It is pretty crazy how close we have come to it esspecially as we see runs like 80-0 where people are coming within a few frames of Raif's runs.
