RUNDOWN

It's been a month since last rankings were done, and it was time to make another Rankings installment. I'll give a shot at making a rundown this time, and we'll see how that works. This month was again somehow active, and many 0ths were taken with clever innovs. Some of them were also battled, which is always much cooler. First of all, I'd like to highlight a couple big achievements which happened to occur on the same day. Golfkid reached 71k of Total Level Score and therefore became the 6th highscorer ever to do so, so a big congratulations to him! The other fact is that Eddy reached 200 Metanet 0ths and became the 4th highscorer ever to do so. The community as a whole gained another 13.5 secs of Total Level Score.

Now, I'll go through some of the new 0ths in numerical order, and explain the ones needed. The rest are at the bottom:

On 10-0, Eddy shaved a mere frame at first from Gutlands run, then applied a weird tile-push trick and eventually saved 5 more frames on such framewar map (mostly by luck). This now stands only 2 frames slower than Raif's MBD.

Jp27ace, the mysterious player, joined the community and made another appearance by taking 10-4 from Eddy by 6 frames with a really clever route change. Eddy came to retook it by 2 frames, but this was clearly easy to retake for jp27ace, as he simply outran Eddy and improved by 10 full frames pulling the run over the 120s, 1.5 secs faster than lat's old 0th. Keeping on the classic levels, Eddy squeezed one more frame on 20-0, a single frame slower than Raif's MBD.

Macrohenry made a big appearance this month by taking 37-3, a level that could potentially be maxed in a future if noone innovates it again. First, he shaved 3 frames off ska's run, and he also changed the middle route to make it more comfortable for him. Not content with his ending, he redid it again and was able to pull it to 111.850, having shaved a total .350 sec. But that wasn't the only level macrohenry took this month. He attacked xaelar's 39-2 and cleaned it like crazy, including the tricky top skipping part, for finally shaving .200.

Then we have 40-0, which was the second appearance from jp27ace. He came up with a great innov (which apparently seemed to have been done in the past by players like Toad) and took it from Eddy by a couple frames. However, the innov had too much potential to leave it like that, so Eddy retook it by 0.525.

Vankusss came back for a little again this month. First we have 46-4. He was able to pull off the innov he and TRO planned a year ago and do the hard ending with the bounceblocks, therefore shaving .550 from Eddy's run.

As for 57-0, this was the most fiercely battled 0th no doubt. Eddy first saw the potential of applying stonedeagle's thwump-pushes tricks, which could shave a lot more. Despite only doing one, he shaved 0.375. However, macrohenry came right in sawing the possibility of taking it by doing both thwump pushes, and he did just that. He was able to save another .250. Eddy came back again and retook it by cleaning it and adding a final corner kick, shaving a total .325 more. After this, macrohenry innovated the level once again by skipping a jump, although he had a sloppy ending and only saved 1 more frame. Finally, Eddy improved that innov and cleaned to shave yet another 0.150. The level was now 1.125 sec faster than stoned's old run.

Now we have another appearance from macro, this time on 57-4. He cleaned the level and ended up 5 frames faster than swipenet. However, he wouldn't stand for that, and came back just to retook it by another 5 frames.

Jp27ace made his last appearance (in numerical order, not chronological) on 60-3 by taking it by a couple frames.

Ska worked hard on Ep61. First of all, he took it by almost 2 secs. Then, he went nuts on 61-4. He took it by cleaning the current route and improved several times (3 at the least). It ended up 0.150 secs faster than van's original run.

Golfkid did also take 0ths this month, in this case, Ep62, which he was able to outrun eru by almost a second. Apart from this, this month he reached 71k of TLS.

Level 65-1 comes next. Eddy found a faster way to do the gold chambers and took the 0th by 7 frames, although if done as fast as van the run could be pulled 10 frames faster more. He also put some work to episodes this month, by taking Ep72 and 72-0 inside the Ep. 72-0 was taken with an innov which let you beat the final drone, saving a total 1.2 secs over eru's run. As for the episode, Eddy cleaned all levels to take it by almost 11 seconds.

Then we have 84-2. Danielr came up with the speedrun beginning, shaving 0.350. Macrohenry saw the opportunnity and took it using the innov by a couple frames. But that just lasted until van came to the scene again, and used Raif's MBD rcj technique to shave an impressive 1.3 seconds. The level is now over the 103s.

Ska came up with some jaw-dropping innovations for both gold chambers in 87-2, and posted them on the Innovations thread. Thanks to them, and some cleaning, Eddy was able to take the level by 2.425 secs, his best difference ever so far, although this was then reduced to 2.2 secs as golfkid improved his run.

After this, van entered the scene again and aimed at his own 95-4, and improved it using the speedrun ending, saving the nice chunk of 0.775 secs. And the last level was 99-2, which again was taken by van. He remade the second half of the route and was able to shave 0.4 and then another 0.325 for a total of 0.725. However, Eddy saw the opportunity and took it by another 0.275. I must say this route could end up maxed as well. Apart all those 0ths, Eddy took some levels just by cleaning, so nothing interesting to say about them (10-2, 57-3, 82-3, 90-2, 91-3 (beat cheater L3X), 93-0, 94-3 and 94-4). Finally I must also note golfkid's achievement of reaching 597 Top-20 scores.

When doing the rankings, some adjustements together with the ignoring list must be done in order to have absolutely proper and correct rankings. This extra adjustements are the following:

• Add Last_FairyTail 0ths to xaelar's count.
• Add van_come_to_irc 0ths to vankusss's count.
• Take into account that kryX's 25-2 tied 0th is Legit, even though he is ignored because the rest are cheated.

And thats all at the moment!

Hey guys, a month elapsed since last update, and as promised, heres a new installement of the rankings. I won't be making a rundown sice most of the 0ths weren't battled and it would have no interest. I will, however, highlight a couple battles. The one between van and me on 89-4 and the one between macrohenry and jp27ace on 60-3. Both of them included innovations and route changes. • Take into account that kryX's 25-2 tied 0th is Legit, even though he is ignored because the rest are cheated.

A new month has elapsed and so I have here a new installement of the rankings. I hope most of the people will have already found the new forum domain. A total 28 0ths changed hands this past month, but only 4 were fought. Trance tied his first Metanet 0th on 5-2. Im glad this occurred because a new generation of highscorers would be very beneficial for the highscoring community. As a very selfish self-promotion, I'd like to say I reached 599 Top10 highscores. The community as whole gained a mere 7.250 seconds in Total Level Score terms, a bit little compared to the past months. Also, the difference between the community's Total Level Score and Total Episode Score has gone under 500 seconds for the first time.

When doing the rankings, some adjustements together with the ignoring list must be done in order to have absolutely proper and correct rankings. This extra adjustements are the following:

• Add van_come_to_irc 0ths to vankusss.
• Take into account that kryX's 25-2 tied 0th is Legit, even though he is ignored because the rest are cheated.

Agreed with Eddy and ska, you can easily get to 70k macro, and probably even 71. Gaining over 1000 seconds in a month is no mean feat, especially when you're that high to begin with. Now put together some determination and challenge my 1st place in the top20 rankings :D
