Actually, due to his immaturity, he got suspended for a certain amount of time.

I feel worse for yungerkid that had his first review taken away from this. Sound familiar?

goldenAtor/Evil_Sire have both been suspended due to evidence of sustained multi-accounting (ie: they appear to be the same person)..

Yes, not a good feeling. I'll look through his stuff and see if I can find anything feature-worthy.

Hmm.. I hope this ban isn't based purely on the basis of the same IP. There are members in this community who share IP's with other members you know. e.g. me and Lancaster use the same wireless connection.

No, they are definitely the same person. There was a comment on one of goldenAtor's maps (I forgot which one), where a comment is made by Evil_Sire worded exactly as if goldenAtor should have said it.

Also, good to see you back ska.

What's worse is that godenator was a reviewer. They're corrupting us from the inside!

OK, thanks for clarifying this, however, I find it odd that he submitted so many maps under both accounts O_o
also, did he admit that he was multi-accounting?

Lastly, I am actually leaving, I just joined this forum to announce my retirement officially and I submitted my last map here: Nmaps.net

hah, i didnt have the *slightest* clue. Tis kind of a shame, because he had featured one of my maps just reecently. I mean, I would not have considered it worthy, but hey, it's all a matter of opinion, right?

Bah, so what.

ME = BANNED

Postby Evil_Sire » 2008.09.30 (12:44)

for some stupid reason that I dont know, I've been disabled.

Multi-accounting? Give me a valid reason, I DON'T rate my own maps or anything like that, and I DON'T rate other maps twice.

So what is the problem?

First off, running around with that sort of attitude isn't going to help your case.

Second, we can't just take your word for it. You're not allowed to have two accounts on NUMA, period. It doesn't matter if you didn't intend to rate your own maps, because the possibility to do so exists, and it's impractical to check every one of your votes.

What you should've done, if you wanted to start over, is talked to a NUMA admin about disabling your other account. Come on, you're a featurer - you should know better.

Edit: Whoa, that topic merging was awesome. See how the "Subject:" at the top of the post changed? Awesome.

But you can do that if you wished. In the announcement thread, you stated that Evil_Sire will be your primary account. Multiaccounting leaves open the possiblity that you will rate your maps up and so forth. The admins had a big problem with mulitaccounters a few years back, so consider yourself lucky.

In any case, I suggest you don't argue this further. The mods are really wanting to test drive the new warn system. You're digging yourself deeper in a hole if you do so.

There are a number of NUMA admins who you can contact as a group or individually. It would not have been very difficult to get in contact with one.

arachnid, in fact, is viewing this topic right now. atob, maestro, and Dave are also NUMA admins. You can't just say "they wouldn't've replied, so I can multiaccount". The same way I can't steal money from a bank under the assumption that the bank tellers wouldn't help me.

Edit: The "there are new posts since you started replying" thing is also awesome!

All I'm saying is.

AMLT got away with it unscathed.

You have to understand the context. This was almost two years ago and there was an incredible number of people being banned and also people coming forward with multi-accounting confessions. I do not recall the specifics of AMLT's case, but confession is of course the operative word. You did not confess, you were caught.

The NUMA administrators aren't in the business of punishing people for no good reason. We'll be fair to you if you're fair to us.

"I'm godenAtor.

You can tell everyone if you like, i'm just using godenAtor as a backup account now.

Well i've been rather horrible to you recently, sorry.
So yeah, you'll still be seeing me about."

Copy and paste from my message to runningninja on the 27th when he told you all.

I did confess, ask him yourselves.

Also, will my accounts get banned permanently? or just temporarily cos it says

"Your user account has been disabled. The reason given was:

User disabled for 5 days. Reason: suspected multi-account. We will be conducting an investigation into this, if we find you've been multi-accounting both accounts will be disabled permanently. If you'd like to avoid this, contact us at [email protected].
Your account will be re-enabled in 1 second ago. If you believe your account was disabled in error, please contact [email protected]."

You should probably do what the message says and contact one of the admin's on NUMA. Also, I'd act really humble and apologetic if I were you. Multi-accounting is very frowned upon around here.

That's the PM he sent me. He did confess.
He confessed to me alone. Even if you didn't investigate, http://forum.therealn.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=60 would have confirmed it anyway. He did confess. He was not caught (to my knowledge).
