Just curious, are those suggestions and complaints about the new NUMA not having Top rated page and other stuff being taken into consideration? There was this old thread that ATOB (wilderness) made about it. Is 'nid planning to implement any additional features to NUMA?

I seriously doubt that Arachnid has any plans to make changes to Numa. He is a busy man with a lot more things to do. More important things. I wish Numa had never changed over, because I have trouble navigating it now, but I think that's mostly because I never took the time to sit down and figure out how it was all laid out. For instance, the recent maps bit. I just don't get that whole thing. I don't understand the new rating system and its restrictions and all that...overall, I just really don't like the direction Numa is going. But, I don't think it will go through much change again for a very long time, if ever.

If you want to make this heard, post it at http://nmaps.uservoice.com/. It really helps; it shows what features and fixes are planned for the future, what's been rejected, and what's done already.

Dead_N, I have quoted your post on the Pikman's site since I like this what you posted, and since you didn't make a suggestion I did it for you. I don't know are you glad because I did it or you're not because you wanted to post it, but it's done. BTW Pikman thanks for your link.

I think a 10-point rating system would be more formal, if this were to be implemented.

I turned my quotes off, or they're just not working; that's why you see the above.

That's pretty cool, thanks for linking that.
One of the things that's bothering me the most right now is the fact that I can't even view all my favorites, so it now just keeps growing. I want to remove some of the older maps from my favorites (not because they're old), but past the first 20, it just says "Results Truncated." Even searching "favorites:PsychoSnail dda" or making it more specific in some other way doesn't work - I often get no results when I try that.

I've found that if you associate any tag with anyones favorites, that it messes up the results. Just like you are saying PsychoSnail.

I believe the .5 increments are gone for good. Most people seem to like it better this way.
Edit: I messed up quoting...probably won't try to quote it again

Oh, I checked if there is something new about that post. It's not accepted, beacuse admin said that there will be some new features implemented, but it won't be any Top-rated. I believe he said it is because there would be many maps with good rating. Oh, don't trust me, I've seen it 2 hours ago so I don't remember well.

It's true, he does seem to have slowed down a lot in the past 2 or 3 months. But of course, I hope we're wrong about this.

I completely agree. New NUMA really gets me down, not least of all because I doubt it will ever be fixed. :( :( :(
turtle wrote:I believe the .5 increments are gone for good. Most people seem to like it better this way.
I still think that was a dumb move. If the admins really think that seeing ratings in whole-points is best, users should still be able to rate with the .5's (because I imagine editing the drop-down menu to include .5's is much easier than changing the site to show half-ninjas). Those who want to use them will use them and those who don't, won't. Problem solved.

But getting back on topic, could you please explain your post more clearly, EdoI? Are you saying that the admin rejected the suggestion and deleted it? Because that defeats the purpose of the system, IMO. I sure hope there is another explanation.
