Yea Eddy. I was cleaning my laptop today when I came across a note from 3 years ago. Opened it up and saw what I wrote :D.

After 8 months, episode 00 is mine again! On a side note, I think this has to be considered for the most epic 0th in our history. My keyboard died on me in the middle of 00-2, so I had to go to the store and physically buy a new keyboard to finish the episode o.O I think this new one will do alright, though it needs some sort of wrist support or something for extended usage.

Thanks guys. Eddy, although you've been tough on keyboards, it seems, have you ever had one give way in the middle of a run before? While I was at the store, I was thinking "after all this trouble, I better get the 0th" lol

Ohh thats actually comfortable- using a high up letter key to jump and something like numbers 4 and 6 to move..

-Btw Golfkid, I got a 0th on in a userlevel recently with a run in which I changed the music volume (during a smallish fall) Super epic huh? loll


EDIT: weird, i tried using numbers 1 and 3 as left and right and it started getting delayed and sometimes not recognizing the jump at all (Nv2)

haha I figured you probably would. I can say that it is now definitely safe from me, since I had to improve on my pb on 00-3 by just over a half second to take it this time, and all but -2 was either tied or within a couple frames of my pb (and -2 was only 9 frames slower). So unless I can beat naem without the triple on 00-0, there's not enough time for me to make up and overtake you again. Congrats! Now just wait until Kool comes back and takes it using Raif's double cj mbd route on 00-4 :-P

Ok, guys, a while ago I talked about a level I innovated. I wanted to show you a perfect run with a 5 second lead, but after 40-50 hours of excessive playing(yes, really) I'm getting really tired of that level. So you'll have to accept a 4.475 second lead only. Check 78-3. ;) But this is still the biggest lead on the Metanet boards by a good amount. I think I innovated pretty much every possible part of the run. :D The hardest part was actually the rocket section because you need an extremely precise jump over to the left or you'll miss gold. The absolute max is probably around 247(I did lots of .800 - .900 runs with only ONE gold missing :'( ). Or is there an even faster route? I don't think so, but you never know... :)

Was LAT an "innovater"?

He was known for making innovations with huge leads over 0th. He innovated 96-4 and 84-0 to both have a 10 second lead over the 0th at the time, and I believe he was the first to get the current 0th route on 78-3 (under the matthewtaylorpowell nick) by beating the drone. He also came onto the scene very fast, similar to you.

ok ok i see that Eddy was using O and U to move left and right and space bar to jump. How comes you changed EMG??

Im actually quite fussed about this cause at the moment i press left shift button with my little finger(one next to it) and I hate it -it makes it hurt sometimes



But hey that was cool getting a new 0th on 00 is quite momentous.

Great run, especially with the drone dodges going to the switch. I can just imagine this being done live, like shown on a jumbotron in a competition or something, and the crowd just going crazy after those 2 dodges. :D This is probably in the top 5 now of 0th-19th differences too, but I'm too lazy to check just where it falls on that scale.

Hey really great lead there macro, that level just keeps being the focus of huge innovations, obviously because of its bottleneck nature. Do you guys think another cycle is possible?

Amazing run, macro. Getting that big of a lead after all these years of competition is pretty insane. Also have to respect your patience, the most time I've ever spent on a run is about ten hours.

Great run on 78-3 macro, so many innovations adding up to allow you to beat the drone at the end.
Totally agreed on player of the year, its a shame there hasn't been more competition from anyone else really.
Congratulations on the level score too, only Eddy left to beat now :p

Also, I finally got round to taking a top 20 on 02-2, you're getting very close to the bottom of that list Golf :)

That's awesome to hear. <3 I'll be on holiday in the Caribbean after Christmas, so I won't achieve my goal of 100 0ths by the end of the year, but that won't hurt because I achieved lots of other goals this year, I think. :D

Yeah, I saw that already... not just close to being on the bottom of the list, I am the bottom :( Thanks for the vote of confidence macro, but I'm not sure myself if I can do it; maybe by a frame, 2 at the most I think. My chimneying just can't keep up with the rest of you guys.

Just a single frame and you'll be 15th and therefore safe for quite a while. And you don't really need a faster chimney, there are other spots for you to get that stupid frame.

Well fuck, I just did a would-be 0th run on 77-0, only to find out that I was in speedrun mode.

Yeah like macro said golf, you only need to find 1 more frame for that to be safe for ages, and if you compare our runs my chimney isn't really any faster, I just get a better entrance to it.
