I have downloaded NReality (finnaly), and I wanted to try those *NREALITY REQUIRED* maps. I got Helicopter: Alpha Mission, Circuitboard, Windmilling and tiny T and they all had those | things. I thought that variables after it are some kind of modifications to map. But I was disappointed when the maps (any of them) were loaded - they loaded exactly as I would open them in usual N.

I went to the NReality Help thread on the old forum where I saw that '|||mass,10' (or something like that) will make bounce blocks deadly. I created a map with bounce block and that code at the end, and guess what - same old, usual bounce block... I checked that code in Helicopter: Alpha Mission and I saw that gravity is disabled in it, so I'm wondering why do my NReality isn't working properly? If it is, what did I do wrong?

If you are playing those maps in NED, the Nreality mods will not work. When you load the map in NED, the program automatically rejects all data that does not fit the v1.4 map data, which includes all Nreality mods. You must either play them through the userlevels mod that lets you play simply by map number, or you have to put the levels into your userlevels.txt file and play through the normal userlevel mode.

No man, I copied them into userlevels *.txt and it's not working.
BTW I've noticed one more NReality feature that's not working at me. It's the one that lets you get demo data by pressing shift (browser pops out).

Um, I assume your computer is hooked up to the internet. If not, then that's your problem. If you are, then I don't have any other answers.

As far as the demo replay thing, that's a problem pretty much everybody's having. It would be nice if it were fixed.

I'm on dial-up (with 48KB/s) so I never play while I'm connected. However, I'm going to get wireless broadband after 1th Dec. Will that be the date of solution of my problems?

I've been trying to get circuitboard to work, to no avail, but just don't jump on it, for the most fun. And wait for the transparent update to load. And depending on internet speed with that new gizmo, yes.

Yep, I got it. Can you load THIS?

http://n.infunity.com/swf/iUpdate6c2.swf

If Not, you either need to get a better connection to the internet, unblock ports for NReality to use or ask Unreality.

It is impossible to insert a nreality level in Userlevels.txt
You're just supposed to open NReality and go into userlevels. In the text box just type in the map number. it's that simple.

BTW, you can load nreality maps in NED, just have to do it in NReality NED

Dude, I use wireless broadband too, my friend uses cable, they both work. It's a matter of actually allowing NReality to access the internet or having a fast connection. Thing is, the update has to be DOWNLOADED, so a slower down rate will result in a slower download, if at all.

Rika, I have Nreality levels saved in my userlevels.txt, and they work fine if you use the normal userlevel option (i.e., not entering map numbers). In fact, that's the only way to playtest them without loading them to NUMA and playing through the map number system.

As far as Nreality maps in Ned, you can load them in there, but all data after the first vertical line gets deleted. In fact, anything other than tile/object data gets deleted when you load a mpa in Ned. Try that out by taking the map data from NUMA and pasting the whole thing into Ned, then pressing L and seeing what happens. The level name, author, and level type all disappear, leaving just the tile/object data. Also, there is no Nreality Ned yet, that's still on Unreality's list of things to do. He's said that's way too hard to code quickly, and so it's been put on the back burner.

Edoi: Once you're able to be connected to the internet while playing Nreality, then it should work. As has been mentioned, you gotta wait for the transparent update to load. If it doesn't lag too much or if you do it at a time when you won't miss the phone too much, try it out while connected to the internet. When you start up the flash, there should eventually pop up a light gray text saying something along the lines of "transparent update loading". Once that goes away, you should be able to use the Nreality mods and features. Sorry about your wait to get broadband.

Er, golfkid, NReality maps do work in NED, as long as it's the NED in NReality. The mods do disappear, but if you play it, they still work. Just don't go in edit mode.

I tried it, but it didn't make any transparent update. So I went to userlevels, opened the map, nothing new. I googled the map then and when I found it I wrote the map code into that bar above the map listing. I waited for a minute, and it loaded a map, again, with no famous NReality options.

Am I cursed? Is here anyone else with dial-up connection that uses NReality?

Got that broadband now and it's great. I can also play NReality's maps now. So, my problem is solved.
