Hey guys, its been 3 months now, and its about time for a rankings update! Well I'm gonna start this update talking about macrohenry, and I will probably finish the rankings with him as well, because he dominated the hell out of this past quarter of a year since the last rankings, something he had been doing for quite a few rankings already. Quite a few things happened since last update, and I will try to pinpoint all important events, so you better read this update if you wanna keep up to date!

macrohenry had always kept loyal to N 1.4, taking 0ths on a regular basis, but during these past 3 months, he has certainly increased his pace, averaging almost 20 0ths per month, for a grand total of 59 net gains since the last update. This made him pass the milestone 100 0ths quite long ago, as he is already just over 150. Making him the 9th highscorer ever to reach these figures. But hey if you think that's all he did, you are wrong. He also kept working on his overall game, improving top-20 scores, and managed to reach 599 top-7 scores at the same time he cleaned his biggest differences with the 0th scores. These actions altogether allowed him to pass the milestone 71.7k secs of TLS... and then 71.8k! And I'm already trembling in a corner of my room as he comes closer and closer to pass my TLS D: He is also coming pretty close to eru's total episode score, just time will tell what's gonna happen here, but you can go and make a guess already...

I'd also like to mention that all this overall prowess also considerably increased his total points, not only passing 10k long ago, but also, once again, coming damn to close to pass mine haha. Looks like on the next rankings update he will have overtaken me in several rankings! Hopefully my 0th count will last a little more, though I wouldn't be surprised to see him overtaking me there soon, and hence becoming the next grandmaster! By keeping this astonishing elbow grease, I have no hesitation on saying he will certainly do it.

As for the actual 0ths taken, apart from garnering loads of 0ths, macronemesis also managed some huge leads over 1sts, with clever innovs or route changes, including a 4.5 secs lead on 78-3 by beating the final drones by one more loop. Gotta be loop-maxed now hasn't it? I'd say he surprised us, but we already knew of this macrohenry behavior hehe. He did take his first episode ownage ever as well, on episode 57, interestingly the first episode ownage Mr_Lim had back in 2007. Apart from macrohenry, we saw a little bit of work from jp27ace as well, who took a total 7 0ths and passed 10 in total. I now encourage him to go ahead and overtake macro on the rankings to defend me! I'll pay you, I promise!! I'll do... things *cough* *cough*. Moving on, we have ska, who made a couple moves by improving 2 0th of his own in a successful attempt to protect them from the macroterminator, for now. Finally, the fourth and final player to make a move on this period was Kool, who took 2-2 from van and tied the cheated score by Goo. Will he try to make that cheated 0th bite the dust? We'll see it in the following rankings update. EDIT: Breaking news, Kool just took it by a frame, so that's one more cheated 0th that bites the dust in this rankings update.

Speaking of cheated 0ths, some more of them did bite the dust thanks to macropredator. They were, in particular, 9-3 from kryx, and 46-3 from L3X. He also tied another cheated one, 26-4, from L3X. He also worked on the Non-NReality 0ths, and converted 3 or 4 of them, apart from tying 2 or 3 more. Seems like macrohenry has been working on pretty much everything! I will attach the current updated list of Non-NReality and Cheated 0ths at the bottom for everybody to see and attack if they wish. Another final regard concerning 0ths, is that thanks to macro, Mr_Lim is now down to only 1 0th! On last rankings it was lookatthis who lost his last 0th, will we see the same happening to Lim on the following ones? Seems like operation "Ocuppy Lim" is reaching its successful end, to the rejoicing of evil TRO. There's already a player who has lost his last 0th though, and that is Darkshadow, with 93-3, thanks to the german predator once again. macro also took eru's last level 0th, and he now depends fully on his 13 ep. 0ths left. We also have glib_jase down to only a single 0th left, seems like the 0th boards could suffer a sudden great cleansing soon. Oh by the way, remember 70-0? Yeah that's right, that clux 0th. Well, beastmodehenry took that one too o.o

Alright, that pretty much sums up the important events that happened within the last 3 months, more than you probably expected, ingenuous reader. Well thats what happens with N 1.4 highscoring scene! I will end this rundown, as always, by pointing out that the community gained a total 23.125 seconds of Total Level Score, averaging almost 8 secs per month, and 0.46 secs (~18 frames) per level 0th taken, and is getting close to 72.1k now.

1) Thanks for the updated list, I have all of them in my NHigh list, but forgot to update this one. Compared to yours, I was missing JC239, dnawrkshp, managans and JoaoGCNunes. Not sure if they do have scores right now though. The thing is that, in my NHigh, I have all hackers that ever existed haha, including the shitload of hackers that were in the boards before M&R cleaned them in 2011. I do this so that when I check old NHigh files, they are also clean. Thats why I keep 2 separated lists, one complete, and one with only the current ones, which I sometimes forget to update :P I can share the complete one if you want.

2) Oh, yeah its possible that I missed some of them, as I've been pretty absent. It would be cool if you could find those ones, so I can add them into the rankings ;) I used to be able to just look at the level, and immediatly know if that 0th had been battled, and which scores had been done, and all that, but now, I guess you are the one who can do that!

Great to see more from you jp. Your innovations are the true heart of your success in this game. I am shocked by the routes you conjure. Keep them coming and sooner (year just sooner) you will be rising to the top of the 0th counts.

They were, in particular, 9-3 from kryx, and 46-3 from L3X. He also tied another cheated one, 26-4, from L3X. He also worked on the Non-NReality 0ths, and converted 3 or 4 of them, apart from tying 2 or 3 more. Seems like macrohenry has been working on pretty much everything! I will attach the current updated list of Non-NReality and Cheated 0ths at the bottom for everybody to see and attack if they wish. Another final regard concerning 0ths, is that thanks to macro, Mr_Lim is now down to only 1 0th! On last rankings it was lookatthis who lost his last 0th, will we see the same happening to Lim on the following ones? Seems like operation "Ocuppy Lim" is reaching its successful end, to the rejoicing of evil TRO. There's already a player who has lost his last 0th though, and that is Darkshadow, with 93-3, thanks to once again. macro also took eru's last level 0th, and he now depends fully on his 13 ep. 0ths left. We also have glib_jase down to only a single 0th left, seems like the 0th boards could suffer a sudden great cleansing soon. Oh by the way, remember 70-0? Yeah that's right, that clux 0th. Well, took that one too o.o

Muwhahahahahahahahahaahaha ahwas*cough* *cough*... hahahaha! There is nothing I love more than seeing ancient 0th fall. All hands should be devoted to edging out Lim on 95-0.

That said. I was very sad to see 70-0 fall because that was such an iconic run. A truly unique run that lasted for so long. But that is the way of n; "the natural life time is 1.5 minutes."

Alright, that pretty much sums up the important events that happened within the last 3 months, more than you probably expected, ingenuous reader. Well thats what happens with N 1.4 highscoring scene! I will end this rundown, as always, by pointing out that the community gained a total 23.125 seconds of Total Level Score, averaging almost 8 secs per month, and 0.46 secs (~18 frames) per level 0th taken, and is getting close to 72.1k now.

Yesterday after retaking 5-4, I was under the evil thoughts of improving my 68-4 for a moment :P But after playing some time I decided it wasn't worth it haha, its already pretty clean, so I'll leave that there until its taken. I've lost many ownages to you though, I'm not forgetting that!

Unfortunately NHigh doesn't include tied 0ths for episode ownages, not sure why. I mean the algorithm is pretty similar. Whats more complex is to do episode semi-ownages including ties, because you have to check many more possibilities. Anyway, I guess I could add them manually.

@ska: Oh yeah you are right, including tied 0ths that would be an ownage. I have a couple more in that situation as well :P I'm too lazy for episodes yet.

It should. I remember doing that ownage stuff on the rush, so my implementation is quite terrible (such as dic & dict as variable names :/). The worst thing is that the _getNumOfZeroth(lvlEntries) function in nhighlib is the one just below the getOwnedEp function, and I only needed to make a call to it...

[align=center]Introduction[/align]
Hey guys, its been 3 months already, and here you have a new installment of the rankings. I honestly should have done it earlier, but I was busy with exams, since the amount of activity that there has been in this past quarter hadn't been seen for a long time, devastation took place, I can't recall seeing over 100 different 0ths (not counting battles!) being taken in a single update, that's over a sixth of all 0ths in the game. This had been unheard of, and justifies the length of the present rankings. Since the activity has increased I might as well increase the frequency of the updates to monthly again. Else, these rankings might end up getting as long as this one. There're just so many things that took place!

But lets dive right into the actual information now. There were a total 107 different 0ths taken during the past period, and 30 of them (35.6%) were battled, with a total 92 changes just in those levels! Hence averaging around 3 changes per battled 0th. That makes 62 intermediate changes, for a grand total of 169 0th exchanges during the past period at the very least, assuming I'm not missing any. All columns were touched and all players with more than 1 0th suffered 0th changes barring Izzy.

[align=center]Facts summary[/align]
Now lets briefly go through the action chronologically. By last update, macro had been improving all his stats overall, and was getting pretty darn close to leading the Total Points and Total Level Score boards. That, of course, didn't change, and soon after I posted the previous rankings, macro passed me on Total and Average Points. Later that month, he did the same on the Total Level Score boards, occupying the top spot in all three.

However, that also encouraged me to return after a sabbatical year from highscoring, seeing the increase in fresh activity and the opportunity to have some enjoyable competition, and some new goals in sight. And so I decided to come back again and regain the top spot in those three leaderboards once again. Maintaining the pace, I surpassed the 71900 secs barrier of TLS, something that macro also accomplished the next month. Later on, I returned to my beloved 300 0ths mark and broke my personal best there as of today.

Since there is a lot to talk about, I'll first go briefly through the interesting achievements and feats accomplished, and then through the 0ths that were taken.

As you know, there's much more in N apart from 0ths. There's something I have already mentioned, and that is the Points and the Total Level Score facts. Repping that up, we both reached 71.9k secs. Still with total scores, macro worked on his Total Episode Score and became the 2nd player ever to reach 35k secs (71k equivalent in levels), and right after that he passed eru, and is now leading the leaderboard by over 100 seconds. I foresee scores along the lines of 35.5 being attained. Then on my part, during the process of overall level improving, I managed to reach 11000 Total Points out of 12000, hence being the first player to reach those digits. First goal down.

But without a doubt, the most important event was beastmodehenry reaching 599 top-5 scores and becoming the first player ever to reach those digits. For that matter, I've decided to add the top-5 leaderboards as well, as I think they are representative enough to be on the rankings. He's hence now leading them, and will probably be there alone unless I manage to somehow break the 5-way tie on 30-2. I congratulate him for the impressive feat!

[align=center]0th summary[/align]
Let's now go through the main 0th activity that took place. As I mentioned, the activity was very vast, so I'll go through the most important stuff and summarize everything.

The activity continued, with macro and I being the main authors of most of the 0th exchanges. The next player in order of activity was jp, who ended up with no new 0ths, but participated in several battles (notably 10-0, 11-4, 55-2, 68-4 and 83-0), which you can see in detail in the New 0th Report. Then we have ska, who participated in a couple battles, in particular, 09-4 and 33-4. The latter being pretty interesting as it had 7 exchanges. Finally, we had brief appearances by Wolfos, golf, Kool and nadroj, with a 0th each.

In particular, Kool took 28-0 with a cool innov breaking the framewar there. Nadroj also made his only appearance by utilizing this route to clean one more frame. Wolfos returned to his favourite episode, Ep42, and improved his run which was already a 0th. Finally, golfkid decided to go for the framewar 53-0 and cleaned one more frame, now standing alone at the top.

Regarding the 0ths by macro and I, I won't go through all of them so thoroughly as it would take too long, so I will pinpoint some of the most interesting ones. I guess we could start with the battles, as there were several long ones. Following the ordering of N, the first one was 5-4, in which we cleaned 4 whole seconds overall with a total of 5 exchanges, including route changes by macro and cleaning the old 0th to a big degree. Another interesting battle was 50-1, in which we cleaned over a second from the old 0th in a total of 6 0th exchanges. Several members of the community contributed with innovations here. 58-3 reached 4 exchanges, although the improvement was minor here, now the ending is pretty close. macro came with a new route that might allow to beat the drones by one more loop in the future. Then we have 68-4 which was the longest battle with a total of 8 exchanges. We cleaned a total of 2 seconds in this level, 3 from my previous 0th, and 4 from lat's original 0th. One would never expect this to become a framewar, however, it has reached that point, unless we can see further innovations of course. Episode 83 had 2 interesting battles too. 83-0 saw the fall of a classical macro 0th from 5 years ago when he still hadn't joined the community. Both macro and jp contributed with innovs, and I then cleaned them. 1.6 secs were cleaned here. Then 83-3 was pretty epic. It only had 4 exchanges but there were 3 seconds cleaned, and 4 from Lim's classic 0th. This was all thanks to macro's innovative skills which I then cleaned a tad more. Finally, 95-2 reached 4 exchanges and there were 2 seconds cleaned here, by using both innovs and cleaning.

Apart from battles, other interesting ones I could mention because of the time saved of because of interesting changes are 49-1, in which there were over 2 seconds cleaned by using innovs by macro, jp and TRO. Now the run takes 4 gold pieces with trapdoors behind. Also, 59-2 saw an improvement of over 2 seconds. I first took it by cleaning by 0.750, and then macro innovated it once more and cleaned another 1.350. Then, 73-0 saw a cleansing of a second, interestingly by just cleaning. 4-0 was also cleaned by almost a second, mainly by using an innov developed by Raif and myself long ago. Another old-age macro 0th, 90-4, was battled and improved. We both cleaned 78-3 as well, which had been recently innovated by macro by a bunch by beating the drones. Now its a proper framewar. We also battled 12-3, which had recently been innovated by jp and macro himself. We now just cleaned it though. There were also a couple ownages gained, with episode 68 by macro and episodes 24, 50 and 90 by myself. I also briefly gained ep5 but recently lost it hehe.

It's also worth mentioning that just like Mr_Lim in the past update, now LastFairyTail, clux and Gutland are all down to a single 0th. Finally, lets lets talk about non-NReality 0ths. There were two more cheated 0th that bited the dust, Kool took 2-2 from Goo by a frame, and macro took 26-4 from L3X by 6 frames. Regarding non-cheated 0ths, macro took 77-4 from clux by 3 frames, and I took 90-4 from macro by 9 frames. The list of non-NReality and cheated 0ths is getting more and more reduced with time, you can see the full list in detail at the end of this. Its also interesting to mention that the total and level 0th rankings now, not only have a threshold of a single 0th, but also that the 1 0th mark is now up the the 16th and 14th rank, respectively. So take a 0th and automatically scalate up to the 16th position!

Alright so I think that summarizes all the 0th activity pretty much. As usual, I'll finalize the rankings mentioning that the community as a whole gained an astounding 39.750 seconds of Total Level Score, amply surpassing the 72.1k barrier, and averaging around 0.37 secs per level, that is, around 15 frames.
