It seems pretty weird that he came out with almost no speed. I feel you'd normally be pulped on the ground there. It looks like a ceiling jump off the inside of the thwump, can't say I've ever seen that.

Yup that also happenned to me last day when taking it, and I gotta say the first time I was surprised, I do think its weird, I don't recall having ever seen that. I mean I've been simply propelled downwards and crushed, but not this. What I concluded is basically that you wait too much to walljump, and hence two things happen: Firstly, you are on the bottom half and so you are propelled downwards, and secondly, you walljump after the thwump push, which is not the usual thing. I guess that causes the walljump being detected on a frame, but by the next frame, when the wj should be executed, you are already past the thwump's wall because of the powerful push, and so you execute it on air, crashing with the thwumps bottom side afterwards. This was really only the 2nd route decent route I came up with, so there might be faster.
Side note: Nexx has announced his retirement after 9 years of being in the community. I think all of us highscorers should give him a fitting send off by demoing as many maps of his as you can, and make sure you leave the demos as comments on his various maps. I think it would be a fitting way to send him off!
