The other Metanet speedrun's Eddy mentioned are strange though, they are both of a very high quality, so I'd guess its someone else entirely. I don't see why anyone would submit them with Eddy's account rather than their own.

When Kool gets back around to checking the forums he is not going to be happy. Losing the HS and the SR in the span of a few days on a map that is nearly maxed. Ouch.

Nice run. Raif doesn't have a MBD for the SR, but I can't imagine there are more than 2-3 frames left in that run, maybe less.

Took 66-3. I've finally learnt to tap fast enough to get a triple jump off a bounceblock :D
Edit: Fun fact, OJ and Kool are now tied for most sr level 0ths with 187 each.

If you want a use for bounceblock triple jumps, you should try level 26 (in userlevels).

That may be harder for him to do than you think ska. If I remember right, you have a lot more time to do a triple off the side of a bb as in 66-3, than you have for a triple off the top as in NUMA 26. I think the difficulty for a top triple is roughly equivalent to the side quad. To be honest, I'm not sure anybody has actually gotten a triple off the top in realtime, maybe Meta, kryX, or Kool have been able to do it a couple times but that would probably be the only ones.

I've done it; but it was on a simple challenge map where you can afford lots of missteps.

Triples off the top are much, much easier than quads off the side. The reason most people have trouble with triples off the top is they think it is about speed (like the quad is.) Instead it is a timing thing where you do two quick jumps then a third one that is delayed. The quad had only 1 or 2 frames of slack where you can JNNJ/JHNJ. The other jumps require JNJs. The triple has a lot of slack in it.

What only 1 person has done realtime is the triple off the corner, which I am pretty sure I invented when discussing Meta's Simple Change with Meta and Izzy in IRC one day. I was explaining how bounce blocks and thwumps don't actually have "corners" like blocks do. This was after the big (re?)discovery of BBBWJs. So I map this map and gave it to gloomp to submit (because I thought it would get more exposure, stupid me.) Kool pulled it off real time on NReality. This trick has slack in it as far as jump timing, but it requires the combination of that timing as well near perfect position such that the first two jumps come on top off the block and the third off the side.

One day I will put out my trick column and all of this will be explained


EDIT: That said a triple off the top is much harder than a triple off the side.

Edit2: Just because this gets me reminiscing about simple challenges I intended to make and never got to. I also had plans to make a challenge for a scenario where you have to do a triple jump, but you jump off the top, then the side, then the top again. This is only possible in a super rare scenario where the BB has been pushed off center by the ninja previously. So when you attempt the trick the BB is returning to is position both horizontally and vertically during the series of jumps. I never got it even in FBF, but I am confident it is possible.

Thanks man, I initially ditched the idea of improving it (its a little unpolished in some parts) as I was expecting Mohit to have another go at it, but if that doesn't happen I might improve it later.

I don't know why this is not more active, I mean, Mohit and danielr are pretty active lately. Come on guys, post your activity here.

On my part, took 68-2, 68-3, 68-4, 78-2, 85-2, 86-3 and 88-1. Tied 82-0, 87-0 and 88-0.
