New rule: If a non-Metanet 0th run is taken with an innovation, (and by that, I mean everything excluding the levels in 00-99 on highscore mode), the poster has the option to either post the innovation here, or in the speedrun/NReality thread; whatever the poster feels is more relevant. TRO: you cool with this?

I would prefer 0th posts to go in the applicable thread of the 3 we already have, but we don't have enough traffic on this forum for it really to be a problem. So whatever works.
I was leaning towards that, too; if only to avoid potential confusion or ambiguity.

22-1

This is 64 frames slower than crappi's run, but maybe it has potential with a few changes.

There's definitely room for improvement in that route, but I don't know if it will be enough to beat crappi's.
Here's a idea for a faster start, I don't know if it's possible to get the jump up to the middle gold clean enough to beat the launchpad.

jp, that's funny because I did that jump up to the gold before, but I didn't use it in my demo above because I thought it was slower. What do you think?

If you watch the run I just submitted I think its slightly faster if you get it just right, but most of the time I don't get enough height so it ends up being slower.

Haha. Yeah. That would be it. And @Macro and Aidiera, I didn't mean for that to come of so terse/rude. I just read your posts and was like "Secret? what the fuck are they talking about?" Analu's 0th was actually rather famous for being the only one to use the Thwump CK and having a large lead on 1st for a long time. The thwump CK (really they are backwards wall jumps, same for BBs) were not well understood. I think his 0th and 70-0 were the only two 0ths that used them at the time of taking. Hell people weren't even doing them on 90-0 94-0.

The current 90-0 0th doesn't even utilize them?

So... I've been trying to pull off the 34-2 MBD route

(Courtesy of Raif; who else?)

Got a few runs where i got the bbwj and the btwj, but it wasn't the height of the one in the MBD, and consequently, not even as fast as Eddy's current 0th... I'd really like to see someone use this route to take the 0th...

Here's my (slower) run.

The problem is that you need both thwump bjs to reach the top, and even then its not even that fast. Raif's MBD is only 0.625 faster than my 0th, which means that the difference is way smaller in reality. Who knows what an MBD of the current route would yield.

Looking at possible new routes for 122-1 sr, but it seems like they are either too slow (1st run) or you get seen by the laser (2nd and 3rd runs):

1)
2)
3)

I would go with something along these lines:

WJ -> CJ

WJ -> RCJ -> WJ

I was unable to get a CWJ chimney, but it is certainly possible and that would be the fastest method, but easily the hardest as well.

Random thoughts for 49-3 route changes because it is 1 or 2 frames form maxed unless the drone in beaten.

I don't really have a complete route in mind, but this was just some random stuff I was trying out. Hopefully it strikes some inspiration in to someone.

Double Jump at the Exit Switch and RCJ:

Double Jump at the Exit Switch and CJ:

Getting all three switches at the start then going up on the right:

These are all just random jumping around. No real route in mind, so additional work will have to be done. But from my testing it will not be easy to beat that drone if possible. Not a whole lot of room in this map.

That's funny, I've been experimenting with that level too the last days. Here's what I have come up with so far. My original idea was to prevent the drone from entering the tunnel by opening that one door last, but you'd have to climb up VERY quickly to end up with a faster run, so I changed my plan a bit. The route below is a bit slower than the current one, but has some interesting elements in it.

And here's a route change for 19-1 which unfortunately is slower too, but I thought I'd just share it with you.

I noticed MiBeM took 71-2 sr recently with a powerful corner jump to finish. I tried to implement one at the start instead:

Anyone reckon they can beat the drone? :P

Maybe attract it at the start of the map? Does that throw any of the other drones off?

There's at least 10 frames to be had on 72-2 if someone can get a good run behind this (Eddy's 0th is the ghost):
