Yeah go ahead ska, however, I'm assuming you've tried the classical fixes for NReality lag in modern Windows haven't you? If they didn't work, Meta recently posted a fix to use NReality with newer Flash versions, and according to him this worked great on modern OS's unlike the classic fixes:

Hey guys; going to go back to using my new laptop which doesn't run NReality well, and use it to highscore using 1.4. I'm only going to do it though if it's cool with you guys, otherwise I'll probably just retire.

On my current laptop, NReality has always been beset with lagging. However, having audio or video+audio content running in the background always solves the problem. Even if I mute the speakers but keep the media content playing, the game will then always run smoothly.

I suspect that this will be difficult, if not impossible, to get an accurate figure on this, since record keeping pre-2006 is sketchy at best. It would also be when highscoring was rich with activity... Still, I guess it could be interesting to get a number from the data set we do have.

At the end you have the average number of unique holders (which is around 6) and the processing time it took. It was surprisingly faster than the previous function I did, I guess I'll revise the other algorithm.

Interestingly enough, I also coded that function, and exactly outputting what you mentioned. In fact, I did that earlier, because I kind of need that for the global function. Here's 99-4 (the most battled, according to our file collection) by using this function:

Note the elapsed time is comparable to the global function, which tells me that most of the time is actually taken just by loading the hs files.

Regarding 7-4, yeah if I recall correctly most of the exchanges ocurred the same day, so we probably don't have a single one except for xela's 0th run.

I'm also thinking on implementing these 2 functions, but including all exchages as opposed to just unique holders, just for shits and giggles. Won't be complete of course, but the more information and stats we have, the better.

You just have to update both files. Backup your original NHigh files, of course.
Remember, NHigh files must be in a folder called "scores" in your NHigh folder. I haven't implemented a folder selection dialog yet xD
Also, all new functions are inside the "Reports -> Rankings over time" menu.
Anyways, there are way too many changes already, probably worth creating a topic as eru did. I'll design it at some point.

Comparing your list to mine, I was able to identify the discrepancies. I have missing 0ths probably because they were re-taken too quickly. I'm also credited with 0ths that I didn't count, especially on episodes. That's likely due to a poor reporting on my part, and for levels due to assuming a different list of cheaters.

Introduction

Hey there guys, here's a new installment of the Rankings. In total, we had 48 different 0ths changing this past month, of which 19 of them were battled for 54 times total, for a grand sum of 85 0th exchanges. We had a bunch of levels being innovated, plenty of big time savers, and many interesting battles.

Highscoring

Let's go through the innovated levels in descending order of time saved. In 44-2, jp developed a new route utilizing the through-the-door trick to grab the exit switch, which I then cleaned for a grand 2.075 net gain. For 75-1, macro conceived a new route to beat the final drone bottleneck, which after 4 exchanges ended up in my hands with a 1.925 net gain. This route, due to the nature of the level, still isn't absent of bottlenecks, but the waiting is now much more brief.

In 62-2, Hendor devised several innovs for the gold and right sections, which jp and then myself capitalized, for a final 1.825 net gain. In 38-4, jp came up with a complete route change which allowed to beat another half cycle of the final drones, which I cleaned for a total 1.700 gain. In 57-4, we first had jp innovating the top part with a faster method, and then, van posting an innovated beginning, which after an exchange with macro I secured with a final 1.300 net gain. In 13-2, ska came up with an innov to beat the drone, which macro then capitalized for a 1.250 gain. For 83-4, jp was again the brains of a complete route change, which I capitalized for a 1.200 secs gain.

ska also innovated 13-3 with a new route, which after 6 exchanges ended up in my hands with a 1.150 net gain. In 12-4, jp came up with an innov to skip the launchpad using a bb double, which I then capitalized, for a 0.800 gain. For 46-0, ska executed an innov at the beginning he had had in mind for some time, which after several exchanges he kept for himself, with a 0.725 gain. For 96-0, jp again came up with a cool corner kick innovation, after which, by applying yet another innov by TRO, I retook for a 0.625 net gain.

In 67-3, a level that was very close to max with its old route, macro devised a complete new route to smash xela's run. I then minimally improved on it for a final 0.575 gain. Finally, lets go through the smaller gains. On 82-1, I did a modification to beat a laser drone, and then the omnipotent jp designed an ending to deal with the laser properly, resulting in a 0.500 net gain. In 62-3, jp, who else, devised a route change in the middle to save some time, which I then consolidated for a 0.475 net gain. Then, in 90-0, jp completely changed the route in such a simple map, which macro and then myself secured for a final 0.375 net gain, note this used to be a framewar.

jp also innovated 14-2, another classic framewar, by doing something that seems so obvious you wouldn't believe nobody did that before. I then secured it for a 0.250 gain. In 39-4, jp was once again the author of a complete route change on the way up, with a faster method which still exudes potential, for a 0.100 gain. For 2-0, I came with an innov adding an rcj at the top part, for another 0.100 gain. Adding Raif's innov to 88-1 ending resulted in a 0.075 gain for me. To finish, macro added a modified ending to 17-2 to nab an extra frame from xaelar.

There were a couple more battles which didn't involve any innov. First we had 18-4, with golf retaking a 0th he held long ago, which then macro recovered and finally I stole. On the other hand we had 11-2, the only level which saw a brief return of van. I grabbed it later only to lose it a little later to macro, its original owner. Finally we had Ep 30, which jp grabbed from me, and I hurried up to put it back in my bag.

Alright, I think that's it. There were many other 0ths, which were taken by sheer cleaning of the current routes. There was also a bit more of episode activity on my part, which finally allowed me to reach 0th in 4/5 of all ep 0ths. Also, I want to take the opportunity to congratulate jp from here, for his astounding innovative ability, which you probably have noticed in the text above.

Finally, I'd like to mention, in case you reader haven't noticed, that Occupy xela movement was a huge success, with xela losing 60% of all his 0ths during this period of time, falling from 20 0ths to a mere 8 0ths! Something that hadn't happened for 7.5 years. In total, 4 people contributed to the movement, including macro, ska, jp and myself. I hope not to see the movement decline in the future. I for one, would like van making a move here.

Another quick thing. We had an N v2.0 highscorer, VotedStraw, come to the game and even take a couple 0ths. The problem though, is that he didn't use NReality, and it was a general consensus in the community to ignore him, based on his 90-3 run, so that's what I did. If you have any problem with this, don't hesitate in discussing it here. Also, if VotedStraw is reading this, and he is a legit player, please download and use NReality to prove yourself legit, ideally improving your 90-3 run with it, or getting close. When done, you'll be reincorporated to the rankings.

On the total score scene, golfkid is approaching Mr_Lim and the chunk of subsequent players after him. Hendor is standing about a minute away, and now that he's all set up in China, maybe we'll be able to see things start to get exciting when the two enter that mess of players in the mid 71.2k's. I'd also like to mention my arrival to the 72.1k mark on the TLS boards.

Conclusion

I'll finish the rankings, as usual, by pointing out the total game score gains. The community gained a total 19.500 secs of Total Level Score, averaging almost an awesome 0.450 secs gained per level, or 18 frames. On the episode territory, the community made an 18.175 sec gain of TES, averaging around 4.550 seconds per episode. For the first time in many rankings updates, we have gained slightly more TLS than TES, hence resulting in an increase of the difference between both, by just 1.325 secs.

I think you are the master innovator at the moment, jp. It's not just Eddy who's been complimenting you :) Also, I think its interesting how you're just outside the top 10 in the top5 rankings, but yet aren't anywhere to be seen in the top20 rankings! If you put that kind of time and effort into all 500 levels I think you'd have a pretty good chance of passing xela in total level score. Something to think about :)

Eddy, is there a chance to get a mini-rankings on New Years Day? And maybe make that an annual thing, so we can compare stats on a yearly basis. I know I'm right there for improving 100 levels this year, and would like to get a total score difference for the year as well. Otherwise, thanks for another comprehensive update and Merry Christmas!
