I am actually shocked by how may routes were executed on that map. As soon as I opened the map I thought triple and wall jump never even considered anything else. They are all so close in time as well. That is awesome. Well done Ska.

Still make your runs; it's not your fault that it's glitching. You can send me the demo data until we get it sorted. Sidke is your best bet, I think. I'm going to add the previous rounds to the first post for you, too.

I can send you the files if you accidentally deleted the earlier version.

Exactly, just switch to 6g2, according to sidke, unstable versions will all have submitting disabled (and according to a recent clarification, the current version is unstable), so just stick to 6g2 until he releases a stable version (7.2).

I haven't used v7 at all, so this may not work, but try this: Make your runs in 7 or 7.1 or whatever, and then open 6g2 just to be able to submit. When I switch back and forth between 6g2 and 6d I can see any run I made on one with the other version.

Yeah that's what I said, 7.2 hadn't been released yet when I made that post, but it's a stable release so according to sidke it should have submitting enabled, as you just corroborated.

Speedrun mode:

For the round 3 speedrun map, Aidiera loaned out his map-making skill to Blur, with a cute, miniature, thwump-based map. It was evident that some thwump-based trickery would need to be exploited to take the 0th, and macrohenry wasted little time finding a route that utilised a thwump corner-jump near the end of the map, which followed a well-executed pair of wall-jumps off a thwump. The run lasted for nearly 3 days, until KoopaTroopa made a series of minor alterations that collectively saved over half a second—a huge chunk of time for a sub-250-frame map. However, within 40 minutes of KoopaTroopa’s bolt from the blue, Mohit_Ghune knocked KoopaTroopa back into his shell by pinching the 0th by a solitary frame, using essentially an identical route. Jp27ace also managed to get within a frame of the 0th; he tied KoopaTroopa to net 8 points, but ultimately, Mohit took home the 10 points.

Highscore mode:

The highscore mode was yet again full of well-polished runs, with vankusss taking an early lead, despite expressing his displeasure regarding the map on IRC.

However, given the tough start he uses, one can understand why he wasn’t keen on recreating it ad nauseam. The rare beginning was also used by Mohit_Ghune and danielr, but neither of these players would improve upon vankusss’ run. It wasn’t too long before Jp27ace seized the 0th; however, jp wasn’t going to leave anything to chance—he went on to improve his lead to 1.525 seconds over macrohenry and 2.2 seconds ahead of vankusss’ former 0th. Although jp27ace didn’t use the quick start, his route and execution proved to be exemplary; his crushing 0th run involved four corner-jumps, and his 0th run ended up being more than a second ahead of the round’s runner-up, EddyMataGallos. The run is a must-watch, and possibly within contention for a run-of-the-year nomination at The Dronies. Jp27ace has proven to us all once again that he is the path-finding maestro.

Round 4:

Round 4 involves a speedrun map I made [ 235307 ] that is inspired by a specific Metanet map: “picturesque”, while the highscore map is also Metanetesque, but not directly inspired by any particular maps: [ 235308 ]. Macrohenry holds his lead in highscore mode, although jp27ace has closed the gap with his stunning 10-point performance. Conversely, jp27ace has extended his speedrun lead with another solid showing.
I look forward to seeing what’s in store for the penultimate pre-finals round. With a double-points round to look forward to next week, and players jostling for a top-8 place (or a top-4 place in some cases), who knows what kind of exciting twists are still in store!

Edit: It has come to my attention that nadroj347 submitted his run more than two hours after the deadline. I didn't notice this initially because I was unable to take a snapshot of the board when the round ended. In light of this, nadroj347's score will not be counted, and the 4 points he would have earned have been disallowed and reallocated accordingly. It's unfortunate, but it is important to ensure that you get your runs in on time, or at least PM me beforehand (if you're having any issues), so that we can resolve them. The above point rankings accurately reflect this amendment.

Ah, yes... you would've been quite angry with yourself if he submitted a 215f run. I'm really happy I introduced that rule, because it truly does incentivize players to submit sooner rather than later.)
