Congratulations, but I feel like 'perfect' episode isn't apt; perhaps an "ace" would be more suitable, since perfect to me implies that a level/episode is maxed, which is obviously not the case.

Took Ep33 with level 0th in all -0, -1, -2, -3 and -4. PERFECT EPISODE

Sweet runs(especially that rocket dodging on 33-4), but may I ask what is a perfect episode? An episode ownage? That doesn't seem like an achievement matching the acclaim, which is why I thought that wasn't right.

It is an episode ownage, but is also a 'perfect episode', too; that is to say, an episode 0th where each level contains the level 0th (or at least tied with the level 0th); this has proved to be an extremely elusive achievement, and one that has eluded our community for all of N's recorded history, which is why it has (rightfully) attracted a large deal of acclaim.

Do you mean that for the episode 0th run, the run on each level is equal to or greater than the 0th on the actual level itself?

Yes, that's exactly what we mean. In this case, as Eddy was doing the episode run, he took the level 0th on each level as he went along. So basically, he took 5 level 0ths in a row with no chance of do-over if he wasn't fast enough on a completion of a level.

Thank you guys, I agree maybe perfect episode is a bit misleading since it's not a maxed episode, we never never "coined" it or anything but just mentioned it a couple times and I decided to use it haha. I guess since an episode is never going to be maxed though, there's no room for confusion with using "perfect".

Thanks for the Wiki updates ska, you're right it was about time. I personally like to keep my profile as a track of the achievements or just things I do in N too, so I might as well update that soon with new stuff.

Retook 93-3 with jp's innovs, nice work man. I just accomplished something I had dreamed about since last year:

Took Ep33 with level 0th in all -0, -1, -2, -3 and -4. PERFECT EPISODE. And with some neat leads included, if I may say so myself.

Developed a new second half for -2, and innovated -3 with that cj for a +1 sec lead. I was also very nervous to be clean enough in -4, thank god I made it xD

But in all seriousness, and at the ever-present risk of sounding pedantic, a "truly perfect episode"—in my opinion, at least—could involve five perfectly executed MBDs replicated in underclock mode (or otherwise) in episode play-through. By that I mean something similar to my episode 00 emulation of Raif's MBD before he improved his 00-0. I think that "episode ace" would delineate the two different concepts, but if you guys aren't feeling it, I'll just let you have it. (At any rate, Eddy was the first person to do it, so he should get naming rights in my opinion.)

That's insane, congratulations, and you did it in style too. Every single one of those 0ths was great.
It was only a matter of time given the level of your runs recently, now I'm just waiting for 100 episode 0ths.

Very nice! Demo mode is a key indicator of how much time that innovation saves, and how much room there is left in the map for improvement.

Hey ska thanks for the suggestion, actually I do like that ep so I might take a shot, specially considering I took 2 0ths there lately, so Im already "warmed up" for those.

I swear I didn't remember this nor planned this whatsoever though :P

So I don't know wtf just happened, but apparently I took 49-0 by almost 3 seconds just by cleaning o.O I was so not expecting that.
Also took 32-2 with a decent lead, albeit shitty compared to 49-0.

EDIT: Grabbed 34-1 as well.

Haha nice. Took Ep36, 36-0, Ep71, 71-1. Missing half a second on both eps.
71-1 includes a big innov on the left which I think could save 1.5 secs, I saved less than a sec though, you can clearly see why :P
