Column Arcade Mode (HIGHSCORE NOT SPEEDRUN)

I was using the arcade mode thing down the bottom of the episode lists as practice for the column speedruns, and realised that we could use that built-in (though pretty badly utilised) system as another form of competition.

But that time depends of amount of gold you have taken during the run. Isn't it?

Yeah that accounts for the the gold you take, so its not the same. We could I guess compete to get the highest final score, but that's a different story, more like "column highscore".

Yes, this is not speedrunning at all, it is highscoring. I wasn't suggesting this as a new way to do the speedrunning, rather a different competition. Apologies for the confusion.

By the way, time you got at the end, doesn't represent how fast you actually were. Cause it depends of how much gold pieces you have taken during your run, right? So, for example, if we had almost same run in one level, but you somehow managed to grab one gold piece, you will have two seconds more time left, than I have. Just want to say that if you want to post some column records, you will definitely need some stopwatch tool. xD

Yeah oxy - it isn't a speedrun competition. It's arcade mode. AGD for best score.

I did the 30 column. I got 288.383. Since there isn't really a point of reference, I'll just tell all of you that my run was terrible. It's been so long since I've played a lot of these levels. I think I lost about 400 seconds on 35-4.

But, at least I did it, which is more than any of you can say. :P

I did the 40s. It took me 3 tries, but I finally got it done. 48-4 and 49-1 were the hardest, but I think that 49-1 was mostly difficult because I had so little time left after 48-4.

That's half of the columns done now. Has anybody bothered doing all of these before? I know you don't get anything for it, but did anybody put the time in during the early days of Nv2?

EDIT: Also did the 60s. I find it very annoying when I struggle on levels that I have/had 0th on.

Did the 70s, which ended up being way easier than the 60s.

Good job with that shom. Looks like I'll have to put in some work to take back that column.

It took me 4 tries, but I did the b column. It is, without a doubt, the hardest column in the game. Most columns seem to have 1, or maybe 2, relatively hard levels. But the b column has at least 5 that will murder you if you're not ready for them.
