Holy fuck, nice route, 2 seconds shaved and still looks potentially cleanable, awesome job. Jeez, N looks so weird and primitive to me now after N++ haha, hope you can eventually get on the train.

Is n++ where everybody's at now? The n.infunity leaderboards have been a ghost town lately (I myself have been playing random userlevels).
Quick question: I have a laptop with 4GB RAM and no fancy pancy graphics card. Will it be able to handle n++? If so, I'm game.

Sadly, the main bottleneck for most people seems to be the video card. From what I remember, it has to support OpenGL 3.0 or something like that. At the end of the day you can always refund if it won't run on your laptop, so I think you should just try it.

I didn't know they did that. Cool, I'll give it a go :)atomizer wrote:you can always refund if it won't run on your laptop, so I think you should just try it.

For 12 bucks it's worth trying even if it doesn't run (it doesn't run good for me either).

Really nice. I'm a bit surprised the 77-3 trick hadn't been implemented until now, but it looks very solid to me. I can see Eddy contesting 76-2, though. Also, good job on maxing 92-4...macrohenry wrote:76-2 and 77-3. Happy new year everyone!

Yeah, 76-2 is in need of cleaning but I'm not going to look after that now. My goal is to reach 72.1k TLS, something that I wish I had achieved much earlier. Took 45-0 and 70-2 as these were among my worst level scores.
EDIT: Tied 35-3.

Excuse the double post but let's be honest, nobody checks this anymore :P
08/Sep: Took 7-0 and 39-2, back to 400 level 0ths.
09/Sep: Took Ep39, I don't have the energy to clean eps as much as I used to, but I'll still try to finish going through them all.
10/Sep: Took Ep80.

Good to see this is a meme after all these years. Better still, glad to see Eddy back and firing on all cylinders. Couple of those levels look like they could be reclaimed by macro, too.EddyMataGallos wrote:Thanks ska ;)vankusss wrote:Wow, activity!EddyMataGallos wrote:Took 81-2 and 74-3.

Applied ska's route change and took 39-2 back by two seconds. I did not expect to gain that much. :o Also passed 72.1k TLS at the same time!

I'm so happy for you! I wonder how long it took you to pull off such a clean run...macrohenry wrote:Applied ska's route change and took 39-2 back by two seconds. I did not expect to gain that much. :o Also passed 72.1k TLS at the same time!
The two seconds you saved don't surprise me, since I knew the route was way faster. Speaking of which, this level now has the highest difference between 0th and 1st scores, although I suspect this won't last for a while if Eddy gets all territorial again. Still, this makes me wonder: Prior to 39-2, what was the last single innovation that saved two seconds or more?

About 6-7 hours I think. I'm slightly mad though as I failed to implement another small innov I had in mind. Oh well. At least I have an ace up my sleeve, just in case. ;)ska wrote:I'm so happy for you! Pretty sure 7-0 was the last level that had such a major improvement.

That number doesn't surprise me at all, to be honest. This is one of those 0ths that looks a lot easier than it is to pull off. I also like that you have an ace up your sleeve to dissuade any counterattacks. All I can say is that I'm glad that I didn't invest any more time than I did (a handful of hours), because even if I did manage to pull a run together, there's no way it would've been a full two seconds ahead.macrohenry wrote:About 6-7 hours I think. nice job macro... a 2 second improvement is amazing... it's hard to imagine how you save all that time since you're still going back and forth the same amount... is it the waiting for the drone that slows you down the other route?

The original route was slower in the first half; this is best demonstrated by using demo mode in NReality to contrast the two routes. The original route's slower path was compounded by some drone bottlenecks, which are blissfully nonexistent in my route.crunchytoast wrote:nice job macro... a 2 second improvement is amazing... it's hard to imagine how you save all that time since you're still going back and forth the same amount... is it the waiting for the drone that slows you down the other route?

Took 60-2. Sorry, golf. :P If you ghost my run against van's you will see that I got my lead right at the end. I rested a bit longer on the third gold pillar, changing the positions of the triggered thwumps so that I didn't need to jump that high after the thwump push. Also tied 82-2.

Is 82-2 maxed? Did Raif MBD it? CBF looking.

No MBD. While playing 82-2 I had ghost mode activated and sometimes I felt like being half a frame ahead of van so there might be a frame left but I'm not sure.ska wrote:Nice work!macrohenry wrote:Took 60-2. Took Kool's 06-1 and 15-1 by a route change.

Really good stuff. 15-1 is just another example of thinking outside the box. 06-1 looks like the second half can be optimised, but it was still a great run regardless.macrohenry wrote:No MBD. I'm really enjoying this trickling of 0th runs you're putting out, and I hope it continues! (As long as they aren't mine!)

Yeah, it's fun again. I'm probably not as patient with this game as I used to be so instead of cleaning I focus on innovations as in 39-0 and 69-1. ;) Also submitted a 32-0 run which I did months ago. Sadly, I missed a jump but I don't want to spend more time on this level right now. Some of the 8-tile jumps are pretty annoying.ska wrote:I'm really enjoying this trickling of 0th runs you're putting out, and I hope it continues! (As long as they aren't mine!)
