I just judged yours, Zivilyn. I sent it to Pheidi; dunno what he's going to do with it.Zivilyn wrote:I don't even know what my results are yet, I'm just backing up tinkers because I agree with him.

In fact, I don't care about the score or the judge at all. It would be a big help to see what to improve on! Thank you!

Just a reminder to all that Week 2 Challenge submissions close in one hour and thirty minutes.

In other words, yes. Please, send me the judges comments. Much appreciated. I may also suggest that if your map loses, that you may resubmit an improved one the same week, but not for other gyms. That way you don't have to wait until the 9th week to get to the 2nd gym (for some, at least). It seems rather extreme for a suggestion I guess, so I suppose it is not an immediate problem that deeply effects competition itself, just something to think about.Pheidippides wrote:What I can do, though, is send the Judge's comments with the result? Not the scores, but any notes they made about the map in their judging. Would that be okay?

Ok, you had no comments from the Judges this week, just scores. I will ask Judges to include comments from now on in their scores, so that I can send them to competitors who want them. As for challenging twice in a week, I don't think so. People have only challenged once each this week, and judging is still in progress. I don't see it happening logistically.

I feel quite embarrased to ask this, but could you possibly give your opinion on why it was rejected? Noobing feels soo uncomfortable.

I like the idea of being told what our score difference was along with the comments. As long as we don't know who did the judging, knowing the numbers shouldn't matter. But that would mean the judges would have to have some other place outside this topic to convene and decide who is judging which map. Wait, we still don't know who the original gym judges were do we? So I guess I still don't see the problem with getting the difference in score, if not the score itself.
Either way, just the comments would be great. Thanks for judging my map Pikman, if you did have any comments could you PM them to me now that Pheid gave the official okay? I'd love to hear about it.

Could this potentially be enforced in the future? For instance, starting with next week?Pheidippides wrote: As for challenging twice in a week, I don't think so. People have only challenged once each this week, and judging is still in progress. I don't see it happening logistically.
(I love the idea, it will help giving mapper the "edge" we were talking about earlier)

it would be too overwhelming for judges. All i would recommend is a squick 20-30 words about the good and bad in the map.

May we submit a previously used map next week, in the hope a different judge will like it better?

i don't think that would work as the judges say who they're judging on in this here thread/topicZivilyn wrote:I like the idea of being told what our score difference was along with the comments. Can I challenge the next gym now? I think it would be helpful if you were to edit the title to include the week number.

You can only challenge a gym on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. So the answer is no.toasters wrote:Can I challenge the next gym now? I think it would be helpful if you were to edit the title to include the week number.

Anyone pick up on judging mine? Or do judges not do that anymore?
As in do the judges not comment on the thread on what they are judging. I missed some of this thread and it sounded like something change.
