I wondered fleetingly what "Bush" referred to in the topic here.
Seriously though, I heard about this on the radio earlier...crazy. They were size 10.

Awe, Spawn of Yanni beat me to it.
Weird, I haven't heard about this at all, good to know though.
I don't know, as much as most would want to have the opportunity to do that, I think that was a bit overkill. And no show of respect, for a man who has little left.

Woah! That is the stupidest thing I have seen in ages. And who new the president was that athletic. As announced previously on this thread that sure was a slick duck. And no, I don't mean duck as in waddle bird on water. :)

I saw this on the news and god did it make me laugh. It was a damn good dodge, twice! But who else would this sort of thing happen to?

The only thing that could've made this better would be if Bush caught the shoes threw them at the guy, knocking him out, and then as the cops are taking him away he turns to the press and gives a snappy shoe-related, Bond-style one-liner.

Ice Climbers are awesome. Deal with it.

Journalist gets the boot after hurling footwear; CIA investigators "will get to the sole of the matter"
Today, in a selfless sacrifice on behalf of newspaper journalists everywhere, an Iraqi journalist removed his shoes during a press conference and threw them at US President George Bush. This move has been credited with providing one of the easiest puns in news history, and many of the press have expressed their elation at the events. The Pentagon, however, has taken a dim view of the matter. In a statement today... (continued on page 3)[/font]

Apparently, throwing your shoes at someone is a sign of contempt in Iran.

The most important message I took away from this incident is that Bush is as nimble as a cat.

As I type this, approximately 50% of YouTube's most viewed for today is overflowing with the video clip.
Must've been the dodge, if the dodge wasn't there, and the guy missed, I'm sure only 25% of the list would be Bush.

From the shoe-thrower's perspective...
Oh, and here's a .gif of the incident, courtesy of nonewbs.com (I don't visit the place, reddit linked there):

Ahahaha. I'm gonna have a lump there now you idiot.
The other thing I love about the whole incident is the fact that he had the time to be able to throw the second shoe at him before anyone did anything about it. Good to know that you can rely on your security.
