cannot get to object/tile editor.

looked around but haven't yet found a solution to my problem.
if im making a map, after playtesting i go back into the debug menu, and press t to go into the ned menu, but when i press insert, the object editing guide screen only appears for about half a second before returning to the ned menu. holding down insert just causes the object editor to rapidly flick on and off. (same with the tile editor when pressing delete).
the only way i can stop it is by restarting my computer or (on rare occasions) pressing \ to get back to debug menu and then pressing t or e to go to the ned menu again. closing n doesn't stop it either, and i have tried redownloading n but still resulting in the same problem.
initially when i open n the editor works fine and usually does so after a couple of plays at the level, but eventually it glitches up.

any ideas?

Has this been going on long? A lot of people have experienced this before, and the problem has always gone away after a few days.

Ah, that's happened to me before while I was playing on a friend's computer. Usually, after reinstalling, the problem would go away. Have you tried using NReality instead? or, if you're using NReality, try switching back to n v1.4.

This happened to me a /long/ time ago with the object editing menu. I wiggled the Insert key a bit and it stopped. Maybe your key is causing the problem as well?

Maybe your key repeat rate is too high... Your keyboard might be broken... Who knows?

yep, checked my keys and they're all working fine.
happens on nreality as well.
