for those in the same boat, Congratulations! the horror of the sat is past. hopefully.
now when I talk to someone, and there is an awkward silence, they won't be able to ask which school's I am applying to, tell me how awful their experience was, and then wander off.

Horrors? College is anything but horrible buddy. I don't know what sort of fodder they're feeding you, but it's not that right kind.eganic wrote:congratulations

College is still a year off for me. I managed top percentile in the PSAT, so now I'm focusing on getting together as many scholarships as I possibly can. so many essays...

I got in to Cal State Fullerton, but on a wait-list for Cal State Long Beach :(
I heard Long Beach has a pretty decent film program... but perhaps I could strike it lucky with Fullerton?

Wow, that's awesome, congratulations! I'm going to school in Florida, and I've been accepted to two schools but I dunno which one I'm going to. My parents want me to go to one, and I want to go to the other..Spawn of Yanni wrote:It looks like I'm heading to Carnegie Mellon.
Either way, I'm glad it's all over with, now I'm just forcing myself to get through these last weeks of high school

1. I'm still deciding between Mechanics or Computers (dunno if it's the correct translation)
2. I still don't have grades (again, not aware if it's the right word) for both of them - 16.4 and 16.2 out of 20 (don't know how your evaluation is done with you)

We should have some sort of film-makers group here. If only we could all get together and make a movie or something. That would be sweet.Laurie wrote:YES! YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES!!!!! <333<333<3333333333333SlappyMcGee wrote:I am in! Creative Arts- Filmmaking, here I come!

Yeah, freshmen cutbacks by 20% and transfers by 30%. Priority also went to out of state students because they pay more.Techno wrote:I heard CSULB is pretty selective this year.capt_weasle wrote:I got in to Cal State Fullerton, but on a wait-list for Cal State Long Beach :(

Okay, I was waiting for my full results to post. I applied to 8 schools, was accepted to 5, was waitlisted at 2 and was denied at 1. The waitlists and denial were Ivies. What can ya do?
As for where I actually might be attending, it looks like either Johns Hopkins or Tufts. I'm definitely excited at those prospects, and I'll be taking a close look at those two in the next month.
Congratulations to everyone who posted here on your acceptances. I'm just glad the waiting is over. I was beginning to suffer from recurring stress-induced nausea. O,o
