Hey, all. We need skins. Lots of skins. So many skins that I think I'm bleeding from my rectum.
I've gotta split, but I'm going to be hosting a contest shortly for Skins. We need 'em, and we need 'em soon! So, discuss here, and the official thread will be up shortly.

I have no idea about the coding or any of that stuff but I am fairly decent in photoshop, so I would be happy to help.

I'm willing to give it a third try. My last two truly were lame. As long as someone else does the coding, I'm set.

Just make a mockup of the forum homepage and a thread, those who code it can handle the rest (I'd be willing to help code when the time comes)EdoI wrote:In what format should skins be?

Mine's almost finished, and Pembie should be able to code it once it is.

Just take the content on the index page and make it look however you like. Nothing of the layout has to be the same, just most of the text does.
I was doing one that fell through, now im coding the old skin and waiting for Chase.

Hey, maybe we could just download some free skins and edit them. It's easier than starting from nothing. Here are some of them:
http://www.gpf-design.com/download/
http://imusion.net/ In the menu on the left there's downloads button where you shall find some skins
http://zbthemezone.com/index/ In the upper menu there's 'New themes' button, and I think there are some skins in the forum down

I'm having a go at one. I'll probably code it too if it gets to that point.

I posted the theme itself in a separate thread so as not to clutter this one with discussion and revisions.

Yanni, that skin looks really interesting. You should pursue that.
Just imagine the old-forum smiley showed up there. :)

The format works well, but the overall look is a little...busy, if you know what I mean. I like it, but I think there could be some better contrast.

I liked maestro's (looks really classy, professional and fun, at the same time), Izzy'z (I don't like that topic icon) and Chase's skins.
I really didn't liked LV's skin.
I might do one too.

It would be good to have an option that skins changes automatically every day.

That would become incredibly annoying for the majority of us.EdoI wrote:It would be good to have an option that skins changes automatically every day.

Not necessary every day. Maybe three days, week or something like that.

I still don't like the idea. Wy can't we all have the choice of all these diferent skins? That would be awesome.EdoI wrote:Not necessary every day. Maybe three days, week or something like that.
It seems way to man people have made alright or even better skins though! Like almost half a dozen. I have already registered on the chase/pembie one and I see that maestro has the best skin in my opinion :) There should be a poll on this.
