That's pretty slick. The bottom part of the header bit--the lighter dark grey--seems out of place. You definitely need view new posts and company, which I suppose would go in that bottom part? I think the statistics would look better lined up with online users. The footer doesn't feel right.

I like the dark grey, but maybe if you could make the blue darker as well?

The bottom is decent, I don't know, something is lacking there. I think adding birthdays and events etc would fill that up, and make that part more complete.

Nice job, each edited skin is fantastic on it's own.

Just a side note, if you or anyone else is industrious enough to install a local copy of phpBB, I'd be happy to provide the template, theme and imageset files to you. That would no doubt be the easiest way to set up the new style, and then we could just copy in the style folder rather than trying to set everything up by hand.

Geti: Yup, I used a technique called copy-pasta ;) Also I'm not sure how tabbing would work at the bottom, the info there is meant to be quick-glance, not 'Click the right tab for what you want'. The user needs to focus more on the forums themselves not on finding some info in the footer :)

maestro: I'll line them up and we'll see what happens, and also I'll add the other bits underneath the upper section.

LittleViking: Yeah Pembie's just hooked up with me and I'm gonna finish off the rest of the skin such as the topic views and the forum views. Reply windows etc.

I don't like this one as much. I like your Idea for the numa link but I don't think it is needed it also makes it look a little sloppy. I think the previous one was the best but as notsteve said the statistic boxes were too big they should just be made into one big box.

I've decided that the development of this skin is to be discontinued. I don't have the...well...enthusiasm to continue this anymore, I may tweak the front page design once more, but after that people who want to collab and finish this skin can contact me and I'll send the PSD over.

The topic view (What you're looking at right now) has been virtually completed, all that's left is the forum view (Where you browse topics) and Pembie can code it.

Here's what we've got. Index View and Topic View for you today! Obviously Topic View with another post it would sit without the blue bar above it and just below (1px gap) the previous.

In topic view, "Author" and "Message" should be black.

Index view is just...really, really nice. Good work, Chase.

Yeah, that looks pretty cool. Maybe a /slightly/ darker blue, though? Closer to the darker shades on the N+ site? That'd make the white text easier to read as well.

Even though making it darker would then clash with the icons, the hues of the skin match each other. As well as changing the text to black would make it stand out sharply and not look as nice. I can read the white fine, I don't know what screens you're using, but on a 19" LCD it's fine. I'm very reluctant to change these items, as experiments with the colours in the past haven't proven as successful.
